Wildcat Lake (WCL) Specs

Intel Wildcat Lake (WCL) is upcoming mobile SoC replacing Raptor Lake-U. WCL consists of 2 tiles: compute tile and PCD tile. It is true single die consists of CPU, GPU and NPU that is fabbed by 18-A process. Last time I checked, PCD tile is fabbed by TSMC N6 process. They are connected through UCIe, not D2D; a first from Intel. Expecting launching in Q1 2026.

As Hot Chips 34 starting this week, Intel will unveil technical information of upcoming Meteor Lake (MTL) and Arrow Lake (ARL), new generation platform after Raptor Lake. Both MTL and ARL represent new direction which Intel will move to multiple chiplets and combine as one SoC platform.

MTL also represents new compute tile that based on Intel 4 process which is based on EUV lithography, a first from Intel. Intel expects to ship MTL mobile SoC in 2023.

ARL will come after MTL so Intel should be shipping it in 2024, that is what Intel roadmap is telling us. ARL compute tile will be manufactured by Intel 20A process, a first from Intel to use GAA transistors called RibbonFET.

Is Intel going to show off Lunar Lake devices at Computex or is that later?
I looked at the schedule but I don't know what AI PCs they're talking about.

I would expect something in their keynote at 11 PM Eastern tonight and then the showcase in the days following. But, with the teaser preview two weeks ago and the actual launch later in the year, I doubt that we'll get a whole lot of actual new Lunar Lake news.

Seems like Pat wasn't joking when he said AMD was in rearview now

Also, bro you're cooked. Wasn't supposed to post that at all. Xino literally purged his twitter due to people sharing his info.
Did I miss something? That discord pic was real?

Yes, it's something "That person" shared earlier this morning (or yesterday depending on your timezone).

Seems like there's real chance ARL is actually > Zen 5.

If so, Intel would have the superior platform, as ARL would have the better CPU, more modern uncore, new platform (LGA1851), shiny new Alchemist iGFX and a NPU (10+ TOPs).

"At Computex, Intel is revealing new details about its low-power mobile architecture, Lunar Lake. This architecture will be part of the Intel Core Ultra 200 series, which is set for release later this year.

Alongside Lunar Lake, Intel will introduce Arrow Lake, a platform designed for both mobile and desktop use with more powerful configurations. Computex keynote should provide information about Lunar Lake, Arrow Lake and its Xeon 6 series, which will feature up to 288 Efficient cores."

How the tables have turned. If those clocks are real Zen 5 is cooked in 1T and nT performance. It’s best bet is gaming assuming IOSF latency is as bad as predicted.

GG, better luck next time.

Wherever did the "Donbas Coal Miner" post go?
"That person" info are not supposed to be public, so I guess the person who shared it got ninja'd.

It will all be revealed in a few hours anyway. The media already has some documentation for LNL and ARL.

ARL-S 5.7ghz 1T, 4.6ghz Skymont and Z890 chipset is solid and shipping with CAMM2 memory capability. Way better result than initial expectations.

I'm still more hyped by Lunar Lake than Arrow Lake and I'm not sorry.
I really hope he is right about there being a fanless Lunar Lake laptop.

there will be fanless, it’s competing against M4.

I'm stoked about Z890 chipset and CAMM2 memory on Z890 boards. It sounds like a really solid platform, that alone is worth the upgrade for me. Being able to run a Gen5 PCIe m.2 drive and get full x16 from my GPU sounds great. After the Zen 5 reveal it appears that the 1T and nT performance of ARL-S will likely be class leading.. the only real question left is how ARL-S gaming performance will end up.

Well, guess cat is out the bag anyway so not much reason to hold the info.

5.7GHz with LNC IPC increase should result in a respectable leap over RPL-R. I wasn't expecting them to reach such skyhigh clocks on N3B. But I guess that's Intel way. Skymont should be the star of the show still. As I said, ARL has a solid lead as a whole platform over Z5 and AM5.

I'm excited for ARL now. The Arrow turns into a Nova and aims at the Beast who turns to be a Titan? Is the Titan the Royal one? Seems like Intel future is exciting.

Just the platform alone is a big upgrade, especially compared to PROM21 X870E that is still using SODIMM. I don't want to get ahead of myself until after the keynote but with the info that is known now, even if ARL-S is only a 10% IPC increase using napkin math it's going to be the fastest x86 CPU on the market with the best platform.

Where is this new ARL info coming from. I missed a few pages of this thread. Is there a link?

I feel like Intel are going to bring their "A" game back for Lunar Lake. They have a bit of swagger about them, nice to see.
Lunar Lake is unquestionably good. It's the only SoC that is made to go into fanless devices and operate at low power range. But it can also scale if you want to (To a certain extent).

Yup. Lunar Lake 2x4V are the fanless SKUs iirc.
