As Hot Chips 34 starting this week, Intel will unveil technical information of upcoming Meteor Lake (MTL) and Arrow Lake (ARL), new generation platform after Raptor Lake. Both MTL and ARL represent new direction which Intel will move to multiple chiplets and combine as one SoC platform.

MTL also represents new compute tile that based on Intel 4 process which is based on EUV lithography, a first from Intel. Intel expects to ship MTL mobile SoC in 2023.

ARL will come after MTL so Intel should be shipping it in 2024, that is what Intel roadmap is telling us. ARL compute tile will be manufactured by Intel 20A process, a first from Intel to use GAA transistors called RibbonFET.

As mentioned by Tomshardware, TSMC will manufacture the I/O, SoC, and GPU tiles. That means Intel will manufacture only the CPU and Foveros tiles. (Notably, Intel calls the I/O tile an 'I/O Expander,' hence the IOE moniker.)

7800X3D is only good at games but 265K smokes it in everything else pretty much so either he has his priorities set or he made a bad decision
On a sidenote
Skymont is better than LionCove in FP instructions 😂
Nah, it is just one optimization. Probably because every execution port in Skymont is capable of FP FMA/MUL/ADD, while in LionCove FP ADD pipes are separate to FP MUL/FMA. Nothing to write home about.

It is not even the same GPU, wtf are people doing here.
Run the 13700K with both and check the impact, it could be that AMD is faster in this application...

The propaganda...
Umm...Geforce requires a faster CPU because their drivers have more overhead. This just shows that the 265K is crumbling under the 4080's driver overhead.

Here 7800X3D with slower GPU.
