Rumor has it that AMD's next iGPU will be much more powerful, perhaps by adding a small RDNA2-based die to an MCM CPU.

In general I think that MCM blurs the lines between iGPUs and discrete GPUs, so it makes much more sense to do both.
Phoenix Point is a monolithic RDNA3 APU:

But yea it does make it easier once you move to that configuration.

Korea? That's interesting.

At least with dGPUs you aren't limited to a manufacturer. It's much easier to reach to consumers that way.

Man, Intel can't catch a break. Here we are discussing if/how/what Intel is going to release to compete with the 3070 & 6700xt and the RDNA3 and Lovelace/Hopper threads are dangerously close to terminal hype velocity already with 2.5x and 3x and 3.5x speed increases over the current top end parts.

Intel: "Hey, we've released out GPUS. LOOK THEY ARE BRILLIANT, for what they are!"
Community: "OMG, RDNA3 will walk on water, and Lovelace will singlehandedly cure all of diseases in this world! Clock speeds? OVER 9000!"

Intel: * ... * "F*** it. Im goin' to the bar."

And there are big rumors for BM too. Just need to get things shipping in a timely manner. Harder done than said, of course

Poor Ada!

Let the puns begin: I wonder if Alchemist is going to transmute a bunch of rare earth and silicon into an actual Video Card anytime soon...

It looks like Intel is sponsoring gaming tournaments with its Arc brand graphics cards. Which is kinda awkward, considering that they can't actually buy the product yet.
