Let see. I think at the moment that AMD has mostly the better set of products, and 80% of the forums agrees. So, that must make YOU biased. And you care nothing about facts. You are as bad or worse than he is.
I am not the one in denial here. This has never been about AMD being bad. It is you denying anything even as obvious as bugs that enthusiast knows about. On the other hand, you go out of your way to paint anything Intel as bad. Your post history is there for all to see.

I paint Intel in a bad light, only so long as they have been failing do deliver, about 2017 or so. Before that I was saying bad things about AMD (bulldozer days). I go for whoever is delivering. As for the bugs, I have not had any of them, so they must be relatively small. You don;t have 18 computers, and not have any problems if the "bug" was sizeable.

Seeing how the companies run by clowns they should have went that route.....Guessing the clowns would have sued them which eliminated the possibility.

This forum is nothing but this company vs. that company. It gets worse with every passing year. I see the same people going around the same useless circle of back and forth. Why waste your time on this earth with something void of the tangible?

I use a 10900K. It's the fastest gaming CPU. I'll go back to AMD when they surpass Intel in the task that I enjoy. If not, then it's Intel again in my future.

That's the thing though. Whoever makes the best CPU gets the purchase. Sometimes that's Intel, sometimes its AMD. Sometimes there's a heated debate over which is best.

you honestly think those movies are for a three-year-old? or that a three-year-old plays with boxes? Loads of people purchase intel who want things to just work right the first time and not have to wait for updates for their pc to function with out flaws. i just bought another xeon chip and it didnt have a super hero box or anything! I wonder how many people will buy the cpu and not even use it or open the box. The movies are PG-13 suited for young adults and old adults :) its ok if you dont like collecting boxes i dont either.
Work without flaws? Are you aware of the swiss cheese like security holes in every Intel cpu produced in the last 15 years. That had to be patched with a serious hit to performance.

Oh.

I came into this thread expecting more compiler shenanigans (like MKL) - but instead find this!

All this angst, all this hatred towards Intel (who gave AMD its life in the first place).....it's sooo damned funny.

Bet Intel's worried about all the hate on this board, too, as they keep backing trucks full of money up to the bank.

And, no, I'm no Intel fanboi.....currently have two AMD-based computers....a Ryzen 7 3700X (mine) and Ryzen 5 3600X (wife's.)

Did drop two Intel computers to build the Ryzen machines, so I tend to flip-flop back and forth between which ever has the better/more cost effective parts at the time I buy. Lived AMD back in the X64/Opteron/dual core time.....well, until the C2D hit.

Anyway, have fun bashing Intel. Seems to make quite a few of y'all's day. I'm sure Intel's just so sad y'all hate the company. LOL!

If by "bashing" you are referring to people reacting to ridiculously desperate intel marketing campaign, then yes, we enjoy this very much.
I had 4690K just a few months ago which I replaced with a very cheap 1600AF (to be replaced by Zen3) that is head and shoulders above it in every regard . I still have the old intel machine and I intend on buying intel based system if/when they are able to compete in the future. Right now we have nothing else to do but have some fun as products are overpriced and not very competitive (outside of low res gaming where they are still a bit ahead).

Sometimes I miss Richie's posts...

edit: guess some people don't get sarcasm!

I do wonder what happened to that guy. Maybe he was picked up by AMD to fix their stupid lack of ALU's and SMT4.

Nice try, that would be IBM. And sorry if you think Intel failing over and over again lately is Intel bashing. AMD has never been bashed before, like during those Faildozer Bulldozer days.

Never had a issue, anything important isn't even hooked up online so impossible to hack. You know ur the 3rd person to say this ready right? How's your unoriginal comments working out for you? Not everything revolves around the internet

You don't get it. It isn't "hate". It is being realistic. Boatloads of money yes. But they are in a world of hurt. The one advantage they could always count on was their lead in fabrication process. It is gone. More than likely forever. They are being squeezed to death by TSMC. The long term prospects for Intel don't look promising.

Here's my thoughts:

1) Intel, superhero characters? AWESOME marketing tie-in. Since Intel is mostly marketed to gamers, I'd rather see "Hulk" or "Captain America" on the box, than some demonic glowing skull with "Intel" etched into it.

2) Ryzen bugs. At least with Zen1, yes Mark, there were some serious issues with Linux and some programs and compiling and some other issues, with really early silicon batches (of which I had, but I didn't run Linux). I did have freezes/reboots every month or so (NOT Windows Update reboots), with my Zen1 1600 when it was overclocked, even to a relatively conservative 3.80Ghz. I finally decided to just run them stock. Most of the problems went away. (So, OK, blame overclocking for that one, but it's just weird, kind of, that it would run things like PrimeGrid for a month on end, no problems, and then reboot while at the desktop.)

Edit:
3) For the record, at least for the more mature purchasers of PCs, I actually did make the public suggestion here on the forums, of etching sports teams' logos and names into the heatspreader. Since sports is pretty-much a goner now with COVID, that idea doesn't sound so hot anymore.

I would still support Intel doing what M&Ms does, allowing user content on the heatspreader. Imagine if you could have a one-of-a-kind unique CPU heatspreader, just for you! With your grandson's picture, or name, or something, on it! Wouldn't that be "AWESOME"?

That is beyond silly. Caring about what's on the retail box is right up there with caring about a window on your PC case or RGBs on your mobo. There's no added value and adds nothing to functionality. Just adds to the cost. It will never be collectors item. As far as a custom pic on your CPU heatspreader... exactly when would you ever see it? Installation?

YOU may not be "into" that, but there is a ... certain segment of their customers, that ARE into case windows and RGB lighting. I would say a fairly large percentage, if the gaming PCs sold on Newegg are any indication.

My friend, we need to compare and contrast the two to see which is superior. People get defensive over their chip of choice, but that sometimes happens when you strip all the marketing crap away to look at the facts. Some long time Intel fans can't even comprehend that Intel could ever be behind as they were quite far ahead for so long.

Currently the tradeoffs between Ryzen 3000 series and Intel 9000 series have been pretty close with AMD edging ahead in most cases, but who can say who will rise ahead for the next generation of chips? I'm thinking AMD as they have huge momentum behind them, no process worries, and good buzz about it. Intel on the other hand has 10nm shenanigans, been stuck in a rut for years now, management reshuffles and now may even go fabless, so not super confident that they have any edge here. Its actually a bit worrying....

Throw in Marvel Comics marketing tie-ins and it starts looking like a Hail Mary for sales... I don't have high hopes for Tiger Lake.

if someone collects it, it is a collectors item. of course it will be and is!~. like i said im sure Loads of people purchased it and plan on not even opening the box. Now if its worth anything more then its msrp that is another question.. Yes everyone hates on intel even hates on people who use them and give personal attacks. it really doesnt matter, its good fun to make fun of marvel box gfx, but im 100% sure that intel will indeed produce more winning cpu's in the future. the issue was that amd didnt give them anything to worry about so they just kept putting out the same cpu witha few more mhz ontop and calling it something new. Now in the next few years we can see something exciting finally. Laptops still havnt got to many great choices with amd chips, hard to find one with a decent gfx card decent screen and a good cooling system. Also wish they had some ryzen 4000 nuc's but what ever my 9850h nuc will have to do.
