Hey all,
i know this sounds odd, well too me it did, but i read somewhere, and i cannot find where, that Intel systems boot faster than AMD systems in win2k. and when i read that it occurred to me as a possible reason why my friends PIII600 with a ata66 7200rpm Maxtor HDD boots win2k pro in about half the time as my Tbird 1066 IBM 60gxp HDD does! i always wondered why his would boot fatser but never gave it any thought. well here i am asking to almighty AT members to answer the unthinkable...do Intel systems boot faster in Win2K than AMd systems? and if so why? where i read that info also provided a reason, but like i said, i cant find it again. i believe it was at the AMDMB forums but not too sure.
Any thoughts?
