Thanks, that explains it well.Fin shape and "height" have an effect on performance. Shape determines how it will behave. The more rectangular the shape the better it will function. Fin height does effect frequency. Taller fins also create area efficiency, meaning you can pack more closer together.
That glofo 7nm really is a quantum leap over 14nm.
By the time 7nm EUV lands in 2019 glofo will be ahead of intel by the looks of it.
Pretty amazing really, also uses cobalt like intel, just not on the interconnects.
All in all glofo will essentially have a leading edge intel process.
