Installing a programmable thermostat...

So I clearly have no idea what I'm doing with the exception of knowing to flick off power to the heater in the room. So I took off the faceplate to see what I'm dealing with and I'm staring down at:

So there's two red wires and two black wires that seem to each go into some clicky box thing that I assume will open or close the circuit. My question is, how the heck do I buy a replacement thermostat. Some of the ones I've seen in the stores say something like "if it's powered by 120/240V then don't use this".

Any idea how to shop for something that'll let me program a time for when to turn it on and off?

Edit: Pardon the iPhone quality pics. My camera broke today too. 🙁

Read the labels on your existing thermostat. 😛

Maybe those clicky box things are relays.

Is this for electric heat, a furnace, a large hamster in a wheel...? 🙂

Brb, going to go find a large athletic hamster.

This is an indoor thermostat for a radiant ceiling heater (built in there.. or something. When we bought the place the guy said to never drill anything into the ceiling).

I would assume it's just power and ground routed in parallel but I'm not really sure.

Those wires look really thick... I wouldn't buy the ones that say "if it's powered by 120/240V then don't use this"

Yeah they were pretty thick. Had to pull pretty hard just to unbend them to take a look.

I'm going to guess one relay is for heat and the other for AC. I'm mildly suprised they would have one for each but whatever.

Mind you this is a WILD ass guess.
