after seeing that comical ATI presentation which for me made ATI sound more desperate that the apparent desperateness ATI were trying to highlight with NV, the INQ has challenged them both to run 1170 of continuous 3d load......since ATI claim the upped voltages in order to maintain 550Mhz on the GTX512 will be its downfall
apparently ATI's answer to the 512 is that powerpoint joke and a new bios that bumps the x1800xt to 700Mhz core

its appears that Nvidia themselves actually have no problem with meeting demand for the G70 chips that appear on the 512mb version of the card, the problem lies with the Samsung ram modules
the new 1.1ns 144pin memory modules havent been in production all that long and NV is limited to supplying only 4000 cards a week world wide.
