mother fscker went in my room without asking fired up oblivion and proceded to overwrite all my save game files(i always double save to be safe) but he overwrite BOTH save files....that would be roughly 30 hours of gameplay and a level 10 character GONE....he apologized said 'i wont save over your new game when you start it up'

*sigh*

it makes me sound like I have no life but how insanely frustrating it is when people pull this kinda ******. I told him dont ever touch my computer again without asking or else he'd lose both his hands. Thank God I move out in 5 days.

Guess I'll start from the beginning....

I have like 300.
But why was he on your PC?
And why was he on your user area? Oblivion saves to each users My Documents folder AFAIK, so it's your fault for not having separate accounts, and for letting him use your PC.

Been there, done that.

Learn to backup into a place that friends/roomates CANNOT easilly find from within the game.

i'm surprised you'd still let him use your computer (even with asking).
i remember back in the day someone overwrote (or was it erased?) my saved Zelda II game progress. i almost destroyed the disk...and it was gold! :|

That sucks man...punch him in the face.

But next time, do lots of saves. I'm up to save 200 right now and I'm only like level 7 or 8. I basically save a new one everytime I want to do anything important (like attack citizens haha)

This game is too easy though....and it's getting repetitive and boring. What level do ppl usually get to by the time they beat the game?

Someone stole and erased my saved Legend of Legaia file at the final dungeon years ago (I got it back, obviously). Anyone who hasn't played it knows how impossibly long it takes to get there and level up. I'm in the process right now of playing it again.

Poetic justice......i just wiped clean his gamecube save card that had at least a dozen different save game files on it....the most prominent being his X-men Legends of Apocalypse II file where he had unlocked all the characters and had all characters at level 70+......whoops my finger slipped on the controller.... hope he learns his lesson about doing sh!t without asking....i certainly learned mine about not saving more

He can d/l console game saves online. You still got WTFPWND for not password protecting your computer.

Yea never thought running to taco bell and getting gas for my car would lead to this.....i mean what makes me so mad besides me being stupid is that i assumed that since my bedroom door was closed he wouldnt go in my room....i mean who the hell goes in someones bedroom when the door is closed and they are gone....not even my family does that unless they have good reason to and moreover they wouldnt go on my computer. Normally my computer is password protected, and it does require you to log back on once it goes into standby...my bet is that he came into my room as soon as I left before my computer went into standby

It sucks what happened to you, but now you are no better. It's pretty lame to play a game of tit-for-tat just in an attempt to get even.

I've having a hard time whipping up sympathy.

My son (And this is mostly my fault) somehow got into my PS2 memory card. He thought watching the files disappear was a game.
I lost YEARS of saved data. GTA saves, Castlevania on the second character, GT files, FF files...ALL gone.

It was seriously so tragic for me I havent played the PS2 since.

I''m not asking for sympathy cuz I cant even bring myself to play Oblivion right now, but moreover venting my frustration here instead of punching him in the face.

And I know it was revenge what I did but I dont care I only have to live with him til Monday

Yep he already found out he was fairly pissed off as well. I told him what goes around comes around. He glared. I said dont ever go in my room when I'm gone(guess I'll be locking my bedroom door now) And I told him if he ever touched my computer again without asking I'd tear his balls off and feed them to his dog. So now his gamecube is stashed away in his room and the issue is done....yea we yelled and screamed but....guess we both learned our lessons

That I couldnt imagine...i mean I cant even bring myself to load up Oblivion right now and I probably wont since I have a final tomorrow at 11am, but if I were in your position I'd probably do the same thing and never play PS2 again...
