I was thinking of going with ING even though they had lower rates because they also offered CDs, but bleh. I don't want to switch banks all the time chasing rates, and they just aren't that competitive. I know other banks will likely cut their rates as well because of the fed rate cut, but seeing ING jump on it so fast, especially since they weren't close to the best rate or anything in the first place makes me think the hell with them. So I'm looking around.

I think I might go with Crapital One. They have 5% right now, and they also offer CDs with decent rates.

Damn, I thought you were talking about mortgage rates. I need a new loan now that my ARM is about to get to 5 years. Nobody seems to have changed their mortgage rates since the fed cut the rate.

Let me know if you find any %4.3 fixed rate mortgages and I'll refinance!

It'll probably take a little bit longer before the rate cut affects mortgages, if it does at all. They aren't directly tied as I understand it.

Anyone have a link to the wamu one? The wamu website seemed to only show crummy rates to me.

I might try etrade, got a better yield then crapital one and they offer CDs too.

ING moved there rates quick. Expect other banks to follow suit quickly.

You should lock into a CD as the rates do not flucuate once you are locked in. Switiching from ING to another banks savings rate is a short term solution.

I was actually going to start an account somewhere. I just bought a house so the pitiful amount of money I have lying around I can't really tie up in a CD right now. :/

I actually wanted a bank with CDs as well. I've been trying to keep the number of banks I have to deal with to a minimum, and in the future I may put some more money into those instead of just savings.

BofA... 5.37% I believe. I moved from ING due to wanting to have funds available locally.

Still on FNBODirect.com for 6% until Sept. 28 and then down to 5.25% or lower.

As soon as I get settled in my next place, bye bye ING! Been contemplating for awhile, this seals the deal. I'm about to open a Citibank at 4.5% with a $50 bonus. I might just throw my money in there until I can find another deal.

Im getting 0.20% at BofA APY. The closest I could find was an online deal for CD @ 5.1% apy at BofA.

Ehh, Im too lazy to move my money into another account. The difference in interest would be <30$ over the course of the year, not worth me lifting my finger to move money imho.
