ING DIRECT 2.25%APY

I have had it for the past 3 years, great service. I'm not sure if they have a limit though, you should just call them and ask. Look around also, they sometimes have liek a 50 dollar sign up bonus, they will give you 50 bucks for putting money into a new ING account. You can also get referred by people who already have accounts and get money but that usually doesn't pay as much.

Good post. I have been with ING for over six years. A great way to save some cash in a seperate account for furniture, holidays, etc.. They usually pay a higher APY than traditional brick and mortar banks. No monthly fees or minimums. Not sure if they have atm access. I have always tranfered money directly into my primary bank account when needed (takes about 3 working days). I don't think there is a minimum on the amount you can transfer at one time.

This is a dumb question....

How does the 2.25% work?

Is it 2.25%/12 per month? Or is it 6 times a year, or quarterly?

Another satisfied ING customer. Have a few savings only accounts their for many years now. Never a hassle and best interest rates around by far.

"Interest on your savings account is accrued daily, compounded monthly and credited to your available balance at the end of each month"

Greatest savings account period, curteous customer support and the best interest rates around, I personally have an ING direct savings account and I cant say anything bad about it in fact the interest rate has INCREASED 3 times since I got the account!

Anyone have this? and if there is a limit on withdrawals per month?

Yes, it's a regular savings account. Federal law says that you cannot have more than 6 withdrawals or transfers to another account per month, and I believe only three of those can be by check. That's the purpose of a SAVINGS account.

edit Heres the link at ING Direct's site. Scroll down to Details About the Orange Savings Account ("OSA")

I signed up about 6 months ago, no problems, easy to use, and a great rate.

I use it as my savings account...

By the way, there is no ATM access.

Anyone want a referral? I have plenty to give as I just got my ING account too, so if you want $25 for starting up an account, PM me!
