must not work!
try a healthy balanced diet and plenty of exercise.
you need all of the food groups in the propper proportions and to be active!
eat right and get off your ass! do something! and that doesn't meen sitting here posting about how your fad diet isn't working.
nothing better for you than execise and a good balanced diet. just watch your intake and be active is the best thing you can do.

Well, I was thinking that also. I guess we both need to get out more.

And yep, that's the appeal of the Atkins diet. Change your diet, eat all the meat and fat you want, and lose weight without really having to exercise. I'd really hate to see what the diet would do if you were on a regular weight-training program. No carbs = no energy, I would think.

Hang in there, cc. The first week is tough, but after that you'll realize that you actually feel better than you have in a while now that your blood sugar levels are consistant.Originally posted by: coldcut

THIS THREAD is a perfect example of what I hate. People who spout off bullsh*t, as if they know what they are talking about... When in reality, they have done ZERO research on the subject, and have less experience with it. These people aren't qualified to give advice, yet here they are filling people full of misinformation.![]()
You cannot effectively lose weight without exercise. If Whisper were to take 5 minutes and actually research the Atkins plan, you'd see that it calls for plenty of exercise.
And you'd also realize that no carbs does not equal no energy. Not to mention the fact that it's not a "no carb" plan.
Shockwave and GroundZero... I'm not sure why you think that people who are successful on the Atkins plan are lazy. As I said before, you cannot effectively lose weight without working very hard at it. I'll all but guarantee that neither of you have tried the plan.
