LOL I live in Jakarta (capital of Indonesia) and yes they really should improve on the infrastructure.. but always the problems are politics/land hoarding, etc
We just got upgraded my Moody's and Fitch to investment grade, but the actual problem is LACK of spending on infrastructure (China has excessive spending on infrastructure)
Watch us, Indonesia has the potential to equal/surpass China in the next 10-20 years

What I don't get about those situations is why does the conductor drive off with people literally ON the train? He may not be able to see the roof, but he can sure see the front. And you'd think the rail station staff would radio in to not keep going, and then order people to get off.

So it is just like america then? Third world infrastructure for things like internet and mass transit and people refuse to spend any money on it....

We have the same problem but not looking like that lol
you will find 1 or 2 on the roof to avoid running into the conducter but a bloke manage to electrocute himself and fell of where the train minced him further

I would pay good money for a HD Camera streaming live feed of the spot where the concrete balls trap is placed

They could create a new show or sport out of this to compete against those JApanese extreme game shows.

I hope that crane never fails and ends up dropping the whole plank on those workers.

Still, those concrete balls look quite well-made (and thus likely to be looted). I had expected something really crude and not worth stealing (but which will still do the job).
