LOL I live in Jakarta (capital of Indonesia) and yes they really should improve on the infrastructure.. but always the problems are politics/land hoarding, etc
We just got upgraded my Moody's and Fitch to investment grade, but the actual problem is LACK of spending on infrastructure (China has excessive spending on infrastructure)
Watch us, Indonesia has the potential to equal/surpass China in the next 10-20 years
Yes , i live in Jakarta too and what you say is right![]()
In a heightened effort to ward passengers off riding on train roofs, state railway firm PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) says it will install barricades in the form of hanging concrete balls that will knock off anyone sitting on top of an accelerating train.
What I don't get about those situations is why does the conductor drive off with people literally ON the train? He may not be able to see the roof, but he can sure see the front. And you'd think the rail station staff would radio in to not keep going, and then order people to get off.
Nice! are you a local or expat?
Like rocks?I hope that crane never fails and ends up dropping the whole plank on those workers.
Still, those concrete balls look quite well-made (and thus likely to be looted). I had expected something really crude and not worth stealing (but which will still do the job).
how about some dog crap? The coarser the better.
