"Public opinion has turned strongly against the Rigged Witch Hunt and the “Special” Counsel because the public understands that there was no Collusion with Russia (so ridiculous), that the two FBI lovers were a fraud against our Nation & that the only Collusion was with the Dems!"

"The Rigged Witch Hunt, originally headed by FBI lover boy Peter S (for one year) & now, 13 Angry Democrats, should look into the missing DNC Server, Crooked Hillary’s illegally deleted Emails, the Pakistani Fraudster, Uranium One, Podesta & so much more. It’s a Democrat Con Job!"

trump's Saturday night tweets, sounds like the noose is tightening.

Maybe Mueller will release his report while Trump is in Helsinki, giving the Donald an opportunity to seek asylum in Russia. I'm sure the Finns would help him out.

Well this is interesting. On Sunday Giuliani was in the Sunday shows saying if Cohen tells the truth they are fine. Cohens lawyer Lanny Davis just tweeted what amounts to “Really? The truth is not your friend.”

Not to ask obvious questions but if the Trump team is fine so long as everyone tells the truth why have they been busted lying about what happened at every turn?

We all know it would be crazy to say “As long as he lies we have no problems”

Wow. I didn't expect Cohen's lawyer to make a statement like that. I guess that seals his intent to hang Trump. That excites me, although I also see how overselling his value in doing so is the best way to secure the best deal for him.

There's still a better-than-30%-chance that all of Cohen's recent "moves" are just the setup for an epic Cohen and Trump troll job (trolling prosecutors, trolling Mueller, trolling liberals and media everywhere.) His best move might be staying loyal to the President and earning his pardon for any potential federal crimes. I can't trust anything this guy says until the day he squeals under oath about everything that went on during the campaign.

I'm still not optimistic in any way about Cohen. If I believed he has access to a better nature I'd be hopeful at this point but I don't. I think he's corrupt to his core and it rules his every decision and choice.

I'm surprised he lasted this long. I'm also surprised that Trump's tendency to burn the bridges still hasn't caught up with him. 2020 election will decide the fate of this country.
The 2016 election decided the fate of this country. Everything from here on out is Band-aids on gunshot wounds.

It's more that we don't know for sure just how much Cohen has to offer. One thing to remember: if he's just looking out for himself, that still means that he'll ideally have something really juicy on Trump. Exaggerating won't help much if prosecutors realize they're being played, since they can just as easily rescind a deal before there's a formal guilty plea.

Cohen, while he may have some dirt on BLOTUS, is not the real inside lawyer for Trump. He's not the guy who knows/helped Trump's financial dealings (think Russia, etc), that is another guy who's name I can't remember now. Cohen was more of the personal fixer vs financial fixer and as we already know Trumpetts don't care about his personal life.

I think he has dirt on Trump. I just don't think he'll offer up any more than can be proven by information Mueller and associates have already gathered. My hope is still with Mueller but even then Trump is building a wall around himself that'll be more difficult (not impossible) to get around than that stupid fu*king wall he wants at the border.

My understanding is that is quite the opposite. He was involved in the Trump hotel in Moscow deal up to his eyeballs. All the while when Trump prattled on about he had no dealings with Russia or Russher as Trump calls it.

He was actually involved in all international Trump empire deals, I think. Cohen, Ivanka, and T Jr, I believe. This means he also has the dirt on that shady-af deal with "Trump hotel" Baku which was quite literally nothing more than a laundering vehicle for local mafioso and some members of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard.

I have a gut feeling this is going to end up like Kato Kaelin. Cohen will act all cooperative and friendly but when trial comes he'll be a different guy.

That is certainly possible but don't forget the FBI has a ton of his documents and it has been said by many that he recorded his conversations. I believe that he will be forced to tell the truth unless he wants to jeopardize his own freedom.

Meh. Cohen has excellent representation so they're trying not to burn any bridges to the prosecution until they see what the DoJ makes out of the seized records. Cohen will likely cooperate if there's a very strong case with the possibility of long prison time. It's not like he'll volunteer anything so the Feds have to ask the right questions.

OTOH, if all they can pin on him is just a few years he might just do a G Gordon Liddy.

We won't know until we get there.
