no, not really.

do you not realize just how complicated the Trump/Russia web of money laundering over at least a decade really is?

He, like other righties, measure the guiltiness of someone by how many investigations they've been under and not whether or not those investigations resulted in any charges. The validity of an investigation is irrelevant to them so long as the investigation is concluded quickly. In fact, in their mind a quick investigation means the person is probably guilty whereas, long, complicated, investigations are obviously bogus, unless of course the person being investigated is a Democrat.

I think I covered all the bases.

uh oh...

"While Donald Trump was running for president in late 2015 and early 2016, his company was pursuing a plan to develop a massive Trump Tower in Moscow, according to several people familiar with the proposal and new records reviewed by Trump Organization lawyers.

As part of the discussions, a Russian-born real estate developer urged Trump to come to Moscow to tout the proposal and suggested that he could get President Vladimir Putin to say “great things” about Trump, according to several people who have been briefed on his correspondence.

The developer, Felix Sater, predicted in a November 2015 email that he and Trump Organization leaders would soon be celebrating — both one of the biggest residential projects in real estate history and Donald Trump’s election as president, according to two of the people with knowledge of the exchange."

"The new details from the emails, which are scheduled to be turned over to congressional investigators soon, also point to the likelihood of additional contacts between Russia-connected individuals and Trump associates during his presidential bid."

the timing of this is the most shocking part. for reference, this ABC News snippet is from the exact same time period...

and the NYT follows up with even more details on this newest development...

"(Felix Sater) promised in 2015 to engineer a real estate deal with the aide of the president of Russia, Vladimir Putin, that he said would help Mr. Trump win the presidency."

"Our boy can become president of the USA and we can engineer it...I will get all of Putins team to buy in on this, I will manage this process."

But Trump claims he wouldn't even recognize the guy... and his devotees believe every word of what they want to believe.

But Trump claims he wouldn't even recognize the guy.

and that very well may be the easiest felony to prove, he said that under oath.

It's just a fact that Trump can be caught on tape discussing election meddling with Putin, and all the conservatives will be here to protect dear leader, even the totally-against-trump ones.

Looks like Mueller is targeting Manafort hard and trying to put him in a position where he has to cooperate. He is teaming up with the NY AG which would mean Trump can not pardon him with state level crimes should he be charged/convicted.

Yeah I kind of figured this would happen at some point. 1) Leverage for current investigation. 2) Backup plan in the event that Trump takes the nuclear option and finds a way to get Mueller canned.
