PR offensive in full force. Barr has had to come out twice now and made disparaging remarks about the IG report. Trump gets WH interview saying there's all kinds of horrible things in the report. Deflectors shields on in full force at multiple levels.
LET THE GASLIGHTING BEGIN! Barr's doing the Mueller report summary job all over again. Truth is not truth.

Lots of things happening in the DOJ that should never happen. Durham (new investigation looking for cause of the Russian investigation in the first place) is making comments about the IG report before even finishing his own report. The DOJ has completely lost any ability to claim objectivity at this point. And Barr needs to go.

Google search on this subject is very depressing. It appears that the conservative media are currently in the process of tearing the IGs report apart. DEFLECTORS on maximum.

“BLAH BLAH BLAH I CAN’T HEAR YOU! AMERICAN CITIZEN CARTER PAGE WAS SUBJECTED TO ILLEGAL FEDERAL SURVEILLANCE ERGO THE ENTIRE RUSSIA INVESTIGATION IS TAINTED AND ILLEGAL AND UNFAIR TO MY DEAR LEADER!!”

My best Gym Jordan impersonation

Spot on.

The probe found problems with Trump and Russia and Trump's obstruction of the probe, then the probe of the probe found no problems with the probe.
So now I guess the GOP and Trump will probe the probe of the probe in an attempt to undermine the probe of the probe.

Do I have this right?

That's all you can divine from Barr's and Durham's comments so far. It must be that the investigation was bad because they did not get the results they wanted which was that Trump was unfairly investigated and violated because of false suspicions that Russians were encouraged to assist in his campaign. I'm sure the new goal posts of reason are moving apart at light speed at this point.

Add three more "of the probe" on the end and I think you got it.

Lack of evidence for any bias against Trump is not a sign that it does not exist, clearly only that it has not been investigated thoroughly enough.

I wonder what @Greenman thinks about this - after all he has been adamant that there was bias against Trump in the FBI.

This is pretty much what Barr has said. It did not give him the conclusion he asked for, so they are going to just keep doing it until it does. He did not ask for a well researched report, he asked for one that says what he says it should say.

I knew it, they're goddamned aliens! They just wanna probe us!

Maybe Obama really was a Reptilian (the greys - who I believe are the ones that like probing, supposedly hate the reptilians? This is a true thing that alien conspiracy people seem to believe...). Being greys would help explain them liking the pasty white fat old guys.

I remember when you guys were looking forward to the Mueller report. I'm looking forward to the Durham report.
Why are you waiting? We already know it's a partisan piece Barr wanted to reinforce his position because he knew Horowitz would actually be impartial. The Durham report will absolutely say the FBI's investigation was borne of partisan aims, of that I have no doubt whatsoever, even though it's false.

I doubt that. There's really no "there" there, I suspect, but they'll do their best to promote the notion that there might be. Barr discrediting his own department is a thing to behold, huh? It's like Michael Cohen said- they all lie to protect Trump. It's their job.

I agree that there is absolutely no substance to the argument, but he's sure going to put it fourth.
