Hell no. That guy was probably collecting pension when he was 25. People in India pull all kinds of scams.

Ugh... even if he collected pension money at 25 @ 40/month he would only have ~48,000 in total right about now :Q

That's less than a lot of people's annual sallary.

State Records show him at age of 125, which means he started getting pension when he was 60 years of age.

That's insane! :Q

Can you imagine? If I live to be 122, it will be the year 2125. :Q

That's insane...too bad he doesn't have a birth certificate to "make it official". Beats the previously known oldest person by 10 years...most records are beaten really closely, usually, aren't they? 🙂

Habib Miyan spends his time in prayer and dreams of going on a pilgrimage to Mecca, something his relatives say he cannot afford.

Somebody get up a collection to get this man to Mecca!

you think after 65 years on pension he could afford it himself

Except you have to eat and spend it on yourself to survive. And theres the fact that when he started collecting the pension it was a whopping 1.86 rupees... which you can even buy a candy bar from.

Someone should set up a Mecca fund for him... i mean geez over 100 years of waiting? We're human, not vulcan.

Come on, do you really expect him to have a birth record if he's that old? It'll be hard enough getting a birth record if you're that old in the west, let alone in India.
