Except Modi has been incorruptible. He has ruled for 12+ years and not a single scam etc. has been committed by him or his cabinet.

He is, as I said before, a true son of India and lives a Brahminical life - more so than most "Brahmins" who are so only in name.

That's what makes most of these rats terrified - most people, not just in politics, are very afraid of those who are self-disciplined. The problem with indian politics is that the indian society is extremely fragmented. People are divided into religions, castes, sub-castes. The lack of education and progressive thinking means that people(especially old people) have a tribal mentality. They will vote for people belonging to their little group(based on religion/caste). Muslims will vote for Muslims, Brahmins will vote for Brahmins, Lower castes vote for lower castes and so on. there is a severe lack of a feeling of national sense and pride. People don't mind voting for criminals and thieves as long as they belong to their caste.

Another problem is that in india most people do not see corruption as something bad. They obviously don't like when they have pay money to get their impounded vehicles released, or to get a driving license, but they have accepted it as a reality of life rather than something bad. For them, corruption is a natural thing, and there is no use resisting. Even though this mindset is surely changing, change doesn't happen overnight. It will take a long time for corruption to end.
