Wrong. The Hitler youth was a club for children used by the Nazi's to Indoctrinate children in National Socialist idelogy of the NAZI Party.

They were not anymore a Nazi than a conscript draftee serving in the Bundeswehr. Hell most of the German officers were not Nazi's. The SS is a different story.

Hitler Youths=Nazis. The fact, though, that he deserted contravenes any charges against him, imho (yes I should have read further before originally posting).

 

He did motivate a lot of people. He also scared the sh!t out of people into shutting the fvck up. It's easy to get caught up in the propoganda and think that he was a better leader than he actually was. Stalin had huge parades, but no one ever calles him a great leader. Many of the those huge nazi rallies were actually poorly attended, but were shot in a certain way to show that they were much larger than they really were. This is my main point of reference.

As for the article, I think calling the new pope a nazi is no accurate, though the hitler youths were nazis:

I agree with you. Though my focus wasn't on thoes staged rallies.

That book you referenced is amazingly similar to the american culture we currently live in.

we will just have to agree to disagree. I have a hard time calling a 12 year old a Nazi. especially when it was compulsory to join and get brain washed on how wonderful Hitler was.
