That's fine about not making mod reprimands public, I understand and agree with that.

What I need to witness is change. Certain mods continue to abuse their status whether they're reprimanded behind the scenes or not. That's the problem. It's pretty easy to say that nothing's being done because nothing's changing. Certain mods are still obscenely rude to members and retaliate a reply with a ban to keep the member quiet, blah blah blah. Derek or whoever can "dress down" until they're blue in the face, but if there's no change then "nothing is being done" is really the truth.

I, and others, have taken this to Derek countless times. He obviously isn't doing anything about it. Don't tell me or anyone else who goes to Derek about it that we're not taking this through proper channels because we have and those channels aren't working.

Something needs to be done. One single person posting in PFI about it isn't going to carry much weight. This thread is a great example. You have people coming out of the woodwork with legitimate gripes about certain mods. These types of threads are posted repeatedly and each time they're posted there are more people with more examples and it's usually about the same mod. When is enough going to be enough? Derek won't do anything and neither will any of the other mods for whatever lame ass reason. I guess you're just going to have to either delete the PFI forum or ignore or ban members or something because the problem isn't us and the problem isn't being resolved.

Pretty much this, I and others who post similar issues probably wouldn't have if we had only seen stuff like this a few times, it is expected to a small degree, and I only decided to because it was beyond the obvious point, where at the very least wanted to be another one of many to "point it out" per se.

You see I don't have a problem letting people call others names, that's the way it was prior to Fusetalk and even before that when all the Nancies joined. Back then if we didn't like a person we'd run their ass off. It didn't seem to be a negative as that's when the forum really was catching on. I mean you should have seen the abuse members like me, Russ, H8tank and NoWheeman to name a few dished out on the Wounded Monitor Children. Man was that fun and the only people that got banned were the Thieves and Trolls like Puto the Stank. Now days people get their panties in a bunch over anything. Well that's just a reflection of Society. These forums have become like American Society and especially the younger generation, a bunch of entitled pussies. So be it, that's why I Mod P&N primarily, the members there aren't as big a bunch of Nancies like they are in the other forums, they are just bigger assholes

So yeah I get it when you guys complain about one member getting banned for calling another an ass while another member calls someone a dumbfuck and nothing happens to him. I think we should let all hang out and let the pussies find another place to post. But others don't feel that way which is cool, viva la difference. I'll tell you one thing, you won't see me threatening to ban someone for calling another an Ass or probably even a Dumbfuck (depending on the circumstance and forum)...unless I'm instructed by Derek to do so and so far I haven't been given that marching order. Of course keep in mind that's just the way I Mod, some other Mod might interpret the rules differently and act accordingly. And if I disagree with him/her well that's between us and not the membership.

What's the big deal about getting banned? If you feel something strongly enough, say it. Take your time off if you have it coming. I've been vacationed twice that I remember.
I still have the same job, wife, house, etc. The only thing that change was that I couldn't post here.

This is what why we're even talking about this, Olds. Certain mods cross the line repeatedly with regard to certain members, far beyond a simple "heated disagreement" in one thread or another. Some mods just take shit waaaay too far and nothing is done about it. Bans handed out for ridiculous reasons that aren't against the rules, bans handed out to shut members up, threads locked and members harassed because of some personal beef with the member, etc.

However, feel free to continue trolling, Olds. It's what you're best at. :thumbsup:

have you not read the thread? MORE then a few have said they tried to to take things to Derek. He either ignores it or IF (mighty damn big if) he responds its WEEKS past whatever happened. but most time she just ignores it.

I usually don't post in pfi but can't refrain when I see people whining about trivial stuff - "johnny called me a name, make him stop". Next, you're going to be complaining about paying taxes. It's especially annoying when the person doing the whining has been known to dish it out pretty good. They're essentially hypocrites for complaining about the very behavior in which they themselves have participated.

This post is about your perception of uneven moderation on these forums. It is personal. I guess you're worried about getting banned yourself. I don't ever remember seeing one of your posts so don't know how aggressive you get.

It's curious that you would want to air a personal grievance in public. Oh, wait, I see. You're not really secure in your argument and so you're trying to get the support of "others" who agree with you. But when someone else diametrically comments, you cry that it's personal and to stay away. Strength in numbers can sometimes divert attention from a weak foundation.

If it's really personal, from what I understand, it should be handled via pm to the mod account. The question is whether you have a solid enough grievance and the fortitude to go it alone or not. You've posted ~250 times in the last ~three years and have decided to use several of these to post a knowingly volatile grievance here in pfi. Your priorities are suspect.
