We're talking about overall engineering (except for industrial engeering), and sciences as related to mathematics and physics. You know, the "revered" subjects.

Give me your top 3 for each group, U.S. schools only please.

Don't link me to rankings; I want YOUR opinion.

(feel free to copy and paste and then put in your answers)

For Engineering (industrial excepted):

1-MIT
2-CalTech
3-Berkeley/Stanford (my conscience got the better of me :) )

For Science (mathematics/physics):

1-Princeton
2-CalTech
3-Harvard

stanford needs to be in that list for engineering.

i'd round that out to be tier one.

can't argue with you on the math list.

the university of chicago has the best engineering school in the world. well it doesn't because it doesn't have an engineering school, but they're pretty good at math and really excellent at physics.

otherwise another vote for CM.

its hard to say which one is the best, unless you attended a bunch of the engineering schools.

MIT

i know in reality it may not be better, but i view it as the best... everything else is second place imo.

University of Maryland at College Park is one of the best! ;) Probably underrated by most people but I think we can go toe to toe with anyone.

Calpoly San Luis Obispo;)

Price/performance leader if you can get in.

They are #1 in areospace and are just as heavily recriuted as CalTech
