First article is just an opinion article. You can't just say "no that won't happen" when it clearly does. Lot of pro government news articles will start headlines that way to try to downplay an issue, it does not make it fact. 2nd article is just showing something that happened or can happen because someone actually interpreted the law. And there are plenty of other cases if you google it.

Basically they now consider using wrong pronouns as a human's right violation, so yes, you can get charged for it because they will just say that you committed a human rights violation.
Serious question though, has anyone been charged with that?
And I dont mean someone was sent to jail after misgendering a bank teller and later we find out that it was during a bank robbery.

Here's one case where a dad went to jail over it for calling his daughter a girl when she wanted to identify as a male:

Jesus .... don't you even look at the sources you quote? :tearsofjoy:

Find the same story from a CREDIBLE news source and I might believe it's real.... you're one step from citing the National Enquirer.

Just the first thing that came up on Google if you really want to I'm sure you can call the courthouse and ask about the case. Pretty sure that stuff is public.

Plenty of other articles too.

What makes you buy into this crap? (I mean if you're just trolling that's fine by me but still!)

Ask yourself.... who would WANT you to believe that hateful nonsense is true?

Once you figure that out you'll know the folks you ACTUALLY need to worry about.

so are you saying all of this is actually 100% made up? I have a hard time believing this, there are too many different sources including government itself. I mean, the bills are literally talked about in parliament, it's public info.

ALL of it? No... the best lies always contain a slice of "truth". That make it okay?

I'm your friend even if we disagree on some things and it kills me to see you get suckered repeatedly.

:confused_old:

Next time before you quote a "rag" like that right-wing OPINION website from India check out the "about us" link first so you know who you're quoting would be my suggestion. (and quote a moderate Canadian website instead for example)

LoL it is such big news op cannot find it in an actual news site.

The reason that idiot is in jail is because he violated court order forbidding him from violating the transitioning individual's privacy.

Here is the right wing newspaper talking about it.

That's how the law works. It still proves my point that you can go to jail for it.

People always reject news sources when it's something they don't want to believe happened, so if I had posted that one it would have been rejected too.

did you read the National Post article I linked? Did you understand the difference? Or is National Post too left leaning for your taste?

The only "point" here is the one you're hiding under all that ginger! ;)

Wtf.... the only horse I have in this race is that I hate seeing people get duped. (even if they for some reason are fine with it)

@sdifox's link is to the National Post which is a "biased" conservative news source but IS NOT a site based in India that specializes in posting opinion-pieces. (it's right there in the dang name for goodness sake)

The orders instruct him to not make public any information that would identify A.B., or the medical professionals involved, to call A.B. by the child’s preferred name and gender pronoun, and to not share his opinions of the case publicly.

The British Columbia Court of Appeal laid out the court orders C.D. was to abide by in January 2020. Since then, the B.C. Prosecution Service alleges he has failed to do so on multiple occasions.

In June 2020, C.D. gave an interview to a YouTube channel, where he’s alleged to have identified health-care providers, revealed information about A.B.’s mental health, medical status or treatments, and gave out information that could reveal C.D., A.B. and the mother’s identity.

He was charged with contempt of court, and that matter will come before the court in April.
Yeah thats like my example of going to jail after misgendering a bank teller, not because you misgendered them but because you were robbing the bank whilest misgendering them.

How did this turn into a thread about transgender? She is, and was born a woman:

OP's source had anti-LGBTQ comments, but it's really about her undergoing a procedure to permanently darken her skin, which is pretty weird and stupid IMO.

That said, she's not hurting anyone. Only an idiot would try to equate her with LGBTQ.

Because OP is a feckless see-you-next-tuesday and posted it with the intent of showing how "ridiculous" trans people are. Didn't work, he only exposed himself, but thanks to his effective cult indoctrination he's ever more convinced that the alphabet mafia has gotten to ATOT as well.
