I don't know what you're talking about with "the Canadian title of your Queen" but aside from that, I'm free. Completely free. More free than you. With more rights than you. I know it's hard but you're country will learn one day. It will take time.

You have more rights than I do? Really? You're completely free? Really? No you aren't you fucking idiot. You bow to the crown, you're a fucking serf. You have no freedom, you have cameras on every corner so mommy and daddy can keep an eye on you. You have absolutely no clue what freedom is so please just shut the fuck up.

Really? So you replied to half that post and ignored the rest then? Canada, like the USA, has a separation of Church and State clause in their constitution. Yet the title bestowed upon the Queen is one signifying that she(or at least her line) was chosen by God.

Elizabeth the Second, by the Grace of God of the United Kingdom, Canada and Her other Realms and Territories Queen, Head of the Commonwealth, Defender of the Faith

^ Queens title.

Your dumbass thread is a piece of shit and all you tried to do is come in here and roust up some Americans because you're a terrible troll. Why do you even visit these forums? Don't you Brits have your own shitty forums you could be on? You know to talk about all the freedoms you guys don't have?

So anyone, why is it OK to have god in the american motto, when there is supposed to be this separation in place?!

Well, first, there is no phrase of 'separation of church and state' mentioned in the Constitution. However, that is a phrase that has been used in the past and reiterated by various Supreme Courts over the years.

You need to be focusing on the 1st Amendment, which is generally seen as a response to the UK's establishment of the Church of England because the limeys need to be sheep. That doesn't say anything about the US government not having any mention of a 'God' or any type of divinity.

Ultimately, it depends on how someone would interpret the 1st Amendment.

Why is the motto of America "In god we trust" apparently it was changed to that in the 50's from e pluribus unum which is a far better motto. So with America being all about separation of church and state wtf?!

e pluribus unum (Out of many, one) that is a racist, conformist, white man pig speak motto that proposes bull dozing over other peoples cultures! I am suing to change it back!! Oh wait nvm.

It does have an effect on your day to day life. You're not a free person, you're a servant to the crown. A serf. You bow down to someone every day you wake up and praise being born where you were born. That sucks for you and it's a huge problem. No man should have to bow to another because of such ridiculous non-sense as being "king" or "queen".

WTF??

I'm in my 40's and I've never bowed to anyone, sworn allegiance to anything or praised any state institution.

Oh and I have been given the chance to meet the Queen on a couple of occasions, I declined.

Edit: And E pluribus unum is a cracking motto, mind you 'In god we trust' is a cracking album so thats a wash.

You have to give allegiance to your Queen Hag. In fact, the British citizenship oath explicitly says that you give allegiance to the Queen Hag and her heirs.

Please throw off the shackles of peasantdom.

British people don't have to take that, its just to fuck with foreigners.

Typical British response. British people who weren't born of British citizenship have to pledge allegiance to the queen Hag. Moreover, I wouldn't be surprised at all if you've been forced to sign documents to such effect at various points in your life.

So, yes, you have very likely been forced to pledge allegiance to your Overlord.

Again, I implore you to throw off the shackles of peasantdom. I realize that this may mean that you will be captured and given 30 lashes, but it is worth it to finally be free.

We do that for the LULZ

Nope, my Anthem doesn't even mention the Royals or god, or indeed, worshipping anything.

Great, I'm dealing with someone who is probably a 22 year old obese man. That's typically the demographic that says things like 'LULZ'.

Anyways, you do that because you worship a Queen. It's simple.

That's nice, but you have a Queen, she is your head of state, she must be the head of one religion, and you have to pledge allegiance to her.

I think that I'd rather have an 'anthem' that mentions a 'god' instead of all of that, most of which involves god.

Also, your anthem does mention both your Queen and God.

What? I respond to your inanities because I have a Queen?

I'm not seeing the logical progression there.

Nope, never had to, never will.

What? All of what? There is no god, no royalty, no worshipping and no bowing to anyone or anything in my national anthem.

No it doesn't.

No, you pledge allegiance to a Queen because you have a Queen.

You say childish things like 'LULZ' because you're an obese 22 year old internet nerd.

Nope, never had to, never will.

You're a peasant, serf, peon, whatever. You must be subservient to your queen.

What? All of what? There is no god, no royalty, no worshipping and no bowing to anyone or anything in my national anthem.

Maybe not in one of yours, but there is so in the de facto British national anthem.

No. look I know you're a little slow so I'll repeat myself. I have never pledged allegiance to anyone and I doubt I ever will.

Dear god, I didn't think you were this slow.

There is no British national anthem, de facto or otherwise.

That's nice, but you probably have and you are still a subject to a person - your queen.

There is a de facto British national anthem as derived from custom and use. It's all about your queen and your god. This is pretty common because the very basis of your society is about god and queen.

Cheer up old boy. Just grab a spot of tea. Yip yip, cheerio old mate!

So, the sensible question is, who are the seven members in the House who understood it's better to keep religion separate from government, and stood up to the mob?

Before I post the list, anyone care to guess where Ron Paul stood?

I'll post the list in few.
