IN 8 hours the glorious Blendtec goes on sale.

My grandparents have the blendtech total blender. As far as blenders go it's a beast, but I'm not sure what having that much power in a blender really accomplishes.

It can make a smoothie 1 second faster. Over the course of a lifetime that will save you enough time to microwave a frozen burrito.

Actually, it's the reverse. After making that smoothly so quickly, you stand there for 2 seconds in awe. So, over the course of a lifetime, you will lose enough time to microwave a frozen burrito.

I have a $20 blender. I use it about once a month on average. I don't think I've ever gone beyond button 4 on a 1 to 8 scale.

But what if you suddenly found yourself if need of a way to blend the handle of all your garden tools?!

What about, I don't particularly need to make a smoothie any faster, and ice is about the roughest thing I need a blender to hold up to, but can you completely annihilate, make fibrous smoother than with traditional blenders?

Pea soup for instance, smooth as silk, might be worth paying for.

It can also make a Smoothie that's actually smooth. I have a $115 Kitchenaid Blender and while it does a pretty good job, Margaritas and Smoothies could still come out a lot better. Blendtec's are expensive, but there's nothing really quality wise in between the decent $100'ish ones and a Blentec or Vitamix. And the mid low end ones just don't cut it. I'm not even sure how people live with the $30 Hamilton Beach/Oyster shit units.

I would jump on this deal, but I don't want the red model, oh well...

Get the Vitamix. Can't you actually get it to spin fast enough to heat food up? You could make a hot frozen burrito smoothie!

So has anyone ever attempted to use a Blendtec to blend a Blendtec?
