I was referring to those ridiculous rears.
Oh, and:
stance
noun
1.
the position or bearing of the body while standing: legs spread in a wide stance; the threatening stance of the bull.
The stock M3 stands aggressively. Crushing it into the ground up to its roofline or putting 20 foot axles on it so it looks like a water bug would not fit the definition of "aggressive" in reference to the bearing of the car.
That car is way out of proportion.
An M3 can definitely be made to have a more aggressive stance than stock but that's not the way to do it.
well now we're getting somewhere. first of all, i thought you were talking about the M Coupe, not the M3 (since you quoted the picture of the M Coupe just before commenting). either way, at least we can reconcile our differences in opinion now that you've elaborated. again, you're going off the generalized definition that would be found in a dictionary somewhere...sorry, but in the context of automotive enthusiasm, its meaning is a bit more specific than that. it may be
your opinion that such cars with flush wheels and enough of a drop to eliminate any granny gap are not aggressively stanced. but that's exactly what a "stanced" car is, regardless of what dictionary.com says. it is what the entirety of the automotive community understands as "stanced" simply b/c it has come to be defined that way in this context over the years.
i understand that, in your opinion, a stock M3 is more aggressively stanced than the example in this thread...and that's a perfectly valid opinion. all i'm saying is that it doesn't make my brother's M3 not aggressively stanced, particularly when the majority of the automotive community understands that look to be "aggressively stanced."
WOW, i just realized that we're having a disagreement, and yet we both know how to keep it civil! i wish everyone in this thread were able to do so without resorting to low blows...
