For this final task, the Imperials simply need to power on, charge, and fire the SUPER LASER. However, the first step is to find a worthy target.

Luckily, a nearby ship that is definitely not a counselor ship has been found, with some rebel leaders hiding inside. Interrogation techniques reveal the location of the secret hidden rebel base: it's on the ice planet. SUCCESS

The rebels try to escape and warn their friends back at the base, but unlike in the movies, your star destroyers can easily blow up a much smaller ship, so the entire craft is blown to pieces rather quickly via turbolaser battery. SUCCESS

With that taken care off, the coordinates of the rebel base are entered into the laser computer system, and the weapon is aimed towards the proper system. SUCCESS

Somehow, despite your best attempts, the rebels find out about the weapon anyway. A whole squadron of X-Wing fighters is sent to attack your super weapon. Defensive systems are activated and the weapon is shielded to protect from X-Wing attacks. SUCCESS

Desperate to stop the laser weapon, rebel troops land on the surface and attempt to infiltrate the base on foot. Thanks to a new vision-correction initiative, Imperial Stormtroopers are able to hit their targets and repel the attempt. SUCCESS

Desperate, the REBEL SPIES reveal themselves! baoytl, DixyCrat, dustb0wlkid, and Krazy4Real attempt to do anything they can to stop the laser from firing, but they weren't given a job of importance at this stage, and are seemingly helpless to stop the terrible weapon. SUCCESS

The weapon is about to fire, however, one Rebel Spy still has a chance to stop it. Krazy4Real, also known as Luke Skywalker, seeks out the one Imperial he may reason with. There was once good in his father, if only he could talk to him, he could perhaps turn Darth Vader back to the side of light. Krazy4Real enters the command chamber and pleads to who he guesses must be his father...
Luke picks SSSnail

His "father" responds: Wesa got a grand army. That's why you no liking us meesa thinks.

In a panic, Luke realizes he picked the wrong Imperial. Darth Jar Jar quickly kills the lesser Jedi, and the super laser weapon goes off as planned, destroying the rebel base.

VICTORY for the Imperials!

PenguinPower was Vader, and was Krazy's second choice...

I could tell Dixy knew... but then a lot of misdirect at the end confused the issue, and without a Rebel chat room Dixy couldn't just tell his fellow Rebels directly.

Wow. I was worried everyone knew I was Vader. I played a bit too hard on the first two, but knowing the rebels had three managers in a row to start, I didn't have much of a choice. Good game.

Yeah, about that...

I did the order totally random, and then saw the three rebels in a row at the start. I was tempted to change the order around a bit, but then it wouldn't be truly random, so ultimately I left it as it was- making for a more challenging game for the Imperials, I think.

Fuck. Well played SSsnail. I thought it was a little too obvious in the beginning almost too desperate. Definitely a seasoned player. I don't think he voted in any of the 1st 2 task and cast doubt about the teams from the get go with no reasons why.

Later on he accused Char of being a rebel which I thought was misdirection which it probably was. It just directed the attention right to him. I guess looking back now it was too obvious. Good game.

I take the blame for the lost. I saw that 3 of the first 4 were rebels. I got a little too aggressive. With 7 imperials i think the advantage went to the rebels in early rounds and then to the imperials later on in the game. I thought he it was a good shot we can fail the 1st 2 missions. The critical mistake I made was that I gave the scanner to DixyCrat. I really did misread chiros post. Otherwise I would have given it to the dustbowl and he could have skipped akenbennu without leading to suspicion. Who knows how the game would have unfolded then. Would Vader had been forced out earlier?

Thanks for the game. It was my 1st mafia/resistance game. Definitely more strategy than I thought. Got schooled by some more seasoned players. Can anyone tell me where I messed up? I know failing the 1 St mission would throw suspicion on me. But I was hoping for the quick win. Maybe play for the long gAme is better?
