I don't agree - I think not having witnesses is a mistake. Even though Trump's not going to be convicted they should spend as much of the time as possible reminding both the Senate and America the consequences of Trump's insurrection.
Yeah I am hoping they expose all of the Trump minions who pushed the fraud narrative. I think it will come down to how people like Sidney Powell or the my pillow guy do under oath.

They got plenty right physically there. The Dems are going to be presenting lots of media with people speaking in them. They will make sure the world get to see this. It's just they we are dealing with bad faith partisans that will not vote to convict. That's what I meant above.

Man, the news is, once again, filled with Trump shit. Guess I'll be watching Skynews for a couple of weeks. I can read one WashPo article a a day for a summary.

Yeah, I decided to tune in, not sure why, it's just going to aggravate me is all. On one hand I do think everybody needs to follow this to be informed of what their representatives and government in general is doing, on the other hand, we all know it's going to end in acquital.

They just played video recap of the day and Democrats are making their opening statement saying yes it's constitutional to impeach former officials including president.

He's already been impeached by the House of Reps. That was finished before he left office. Right now the question is whether who faces consequences of his actions including being unable to hold office again.

Anyone else watching the trial live right now?
Arguments against the constitutionality of this process were pretty damning. Essentially, they used Trumplandia's favorite conservative lawyers words against the concept of not impeaching someone who is no longer in office. So far so good. It's not going to get the Trumplicans to call their Senator to vote for impeachment though.

lolololol Bruce Castor (Trump's Attorney) almost introduced himself as Prosecutor 10 seconds into his opening statement. He caught himself just in time, but damn, that was funny.

Man, Bruce Castor drivel is unbearable to watch, he just spent 10 minutes describing US Senators as patriots, he's making zero sense, he just literally said "if US legislators didn't adopt constitution we wouldn't have it". He sounds like student on an oral exam who spent all his time partying instead of prepping and just hoping to bullshit his way through.
