Funny how republicans see their world through the eyes of the 1960's. Today is a new world, and more so a new America. Well... new when compared to 1960.
Hispanics ARE here, and here to stay, illegal or not. Hispanics in America are not just some recent minor "fluke". Hispanics have long had the desire to live in America, and to work in America. This has been around for, maybe, years. Just ask Gov. Robert Bentley's grounds keeper, or maybe ask his house keeper about that one...
Yes... Hispanics are here to stay.
And another news breaking wake-up call for many republicans stuck in their personal collective time warp...
Here to stay are also gays, black presidents, as well as citizens fed up with wall street.
As well as union workers, teachers, cops, all demanding and accepting nothing less than a decent wage.
Add to that "here to stay" list above...
Women seeking abortions, single parents, mixed marriages AND... (get ready for it) people with religious beliefs "OTHER" than Christian.
And toss in college students demanding jobs after graduation.
Republicans are "stuck" in some tea beggared time warp. Living in the 1960's, blind to reality. They actually believe, these republican governors and republican congress persons as well as all of the current republican candidates, that their twisted perverted viewpoint of America is a fluke and "fixable" by signing a few laws. Laws written and created by birds of a feather. They can pretend they see no elephant in the front room, but me thinkest they will realize something is amiss when attempting to rearrange the living room furniture.
You gotta love dumb politicians. And hang your head low for the equally dumb voter.
(CNN) -- At a recent neighborhood meeting in Birmingham, Alabama Congresswoman Terri Sewell said the harsh anti-immigrant law promoted and signed by Gov. Robert Bentley is embarrassing Alabama in the eyes of the nation.
"We're solving a problem that was not a problem,'' she said, according to The Birmingham News.
