Imation Ripgo @ Compusa with rebate link

19.99 + TAX after $58 MIR

Available in store and B&M.

This is $10 cheaper than the Blackfriday deal. I got 2 then and am getting 2 more now. Nice player for the price with good headphones. There is only a 5 hour battery life but it is lithium ion rechargable. CDRW discs will not work though.

Didnt see this posted but let me know if its a repost.

Sold out. That thing would have been awesome though, it looks like it could also be used as a mini-cd burner so you could burn files and use it as an external data storage device apart from the obvious MP3 uses. I wish I found out in time.

Uses Mini CD-R disks, not the CD-R disks you have now. This thing will go the way of the LS-120. You would think Imation would learn.

According to a review at Tom's Hardware, the drive supports reading and writing of mini CD-RW discs. That is not true. The drive does neither. The reviewer also asks questions that are clearly answered in the user's guide. I wonder if the sh!thead even bothered to use the unit.

You do realize that miniCDs have been around just as long as regular CDs, right? They will go away when regular ones go...

Where can you buy extra batteries for this?

I don't think you can buy extra batteries like Alkalines and nicad at any store.. It's removable... but attached to the battery cover. Lithium ion.

I'm listening to one right now (well battery just died because I don't have the AC adapter with me). Sweet deal. I got 2 of them. Original MSRP was $399, so yeah, they didn't sell very well. At $20 it is a steal!! I burned my first disk this morning. Extra discs are only $0.30, so media is cheap! Backlit display with 4 lines. Shows bouncing frequency thingy in the corner, battery remaining, track playing, etc. I would by them out if I could get all the rebates. Best $20 spent in awhile.

The complaints I read were, no headphone remote, no belt clip, couldn't fit in pocket, and ONLY 5 hour battery life. I wasn't planning on attaching this to me for anything, and I thought 5 hours was pretty good, especially since it comes with a rechargeable already in it.

Pretty darn skip proof too. Haven't made it skip yet.

Is this a two-days-only item, or on sale all week? I'm not interested enough to brave todays NYC snowstorm to get one, but will go on weds if it's all week!

You can get this rebate if you buy other stuff on sale with rebates, right? For instance, I bought the CDR's that are $2.99 after rebate, plus the RipGo! which is $19.99 after rebate.

-Thanks

Best buy also has a 50-pack of Memorex ones for $19.99 if you want to pick it up locally.

Be sure to read the manual before you operate this! It says something like "Battery may explode if improperly replaced" :Q
