We were looking at PC4000 2x1GB.

As far as I remember Mushkin was well known before OCZ so
it may even be better, plus they seem to have a better supply
of the Infineon chips? ie. The modules are actually available.

I opted for the 2nd choice, UCCC modules, G.Skill specifically.
The OCZ with UCCC has a heavy rebate and comes to about
just $20 more than the G.Skill so that is an option for those
unwilling to "risk" the new name G.Skill.

Those two use the same Infineon CE-6 chips. Outside of Crucial, eveyone else use the same chips at particular speed levels.

DDR500 3-3-2 is Infineon CE-6
DDR500 3-4-4 or 3-4-3 is Samsung UCCC

In regards to tighter timings and overclocking, it appears that particular batches from each chip do better than others. The first batches of Infineon CE-6 overclocked like crazy and the latest batches aren't doing as well. But the Samsung UCCC appear to be gettings better. My two cents.
