I'm thrilled, I opened my paystub...

Note: when this company bought the "Assets" of the last company, I lost 155 hours of unused sick time and got 0 compensation because it was sick time and not vacation.

Your company doesn't cap your sick hours? Mine will let you accumulate a certain amount, and if you're over that amount, pays you the difference in a check every October.

360 hours (3 weeks) and unlimited sick days... same as every year - no need to "earn" them after X amount of months. I work from home anyway and I really don't take advantage of those sick days like I should.

At my company your sick time is also your short term disability (first 3 months), so it continues to accrue.

Which will require your employer to hold your job, not to pay you. Under the FMLA once you burn through your vacation/sick time you are on your own.

At my cheap ass company, i dont get any vacation till 1 year of working here. 0 Sick days forever also, oh yea, i got 1/2 a floating holiday for 6 months of work. LOL

You'd be paid for those hours if your sick time was capped in my scenario anyway. If you choose not to save that money, it's your own fault.

Add onto that, Long Term Disability Insurance, which will normally cover you for up to 5 years.

I just got my paycheck today and got a "bonus" of 4 days worth of pay since I didn't use those sick days in the last year.

We don't accrue them, just get a set amount every year and what's unused gets paid out.

wish i had vacatin/sick days, i may ask for some soon cuz working straight for 3 years with just holidays sucks big time 🙁
