I'm the 1%

You answered 12 of 12 questions correctly.

You scored better than 99% of the public and the same as 1%.

The only one I sorta guessed on was the Americans living under the poverty line question.

11/12 🙁. I didn't know the % of people below the poverty line, it always seemed somewhat random of a determination and something I haven't paid attention to.

Yeah that's the only one I missed as well. Thought it was higher. It seems like the actual percentage isn't something I ever hear reported on.

Had to think about that one as well. I vaguely remembered that we had about 50mm below the poverty line and figured that was closer to 15% than 25%. I thought the Shia/Sunni question was kind of tough too.

12/12, but Iran was a lucky guess. Could easily have gone with Saudi Arabia, the only reason I chose Iran is because I remember reading about sectarian issues in that country, so I figured it was the more likely subject of a question about sectarian breakdown.

I only got this because I remembered that the poverty line is absurdly low, so I was pretty sure that a quarter of the population is not living beneath it.

Shudder to think so many are so out of touch.

Didn't know bernanke got replaced and just guessed. Did better than I thought I would consider I don't watch any TV news and only read internet headlines and skim articles.

I bet a 25% rate is more reflective of what average people would consider poverty. Governments have every reason to keep the benchmark low so they can say that fewer people are in poverty.

Did you guess Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts, Supreme Court Justice Sonya Sotomayor, or the guy that quit that job ten years ago?

Very disappointed in you.

Nothing random about it.

I post the plight of the falling middle class into poverty just about daily.

You are obviously well off and not affected by the free fall the Country is in.

Eventually you will be personally affected, then you will have a wake up call.

Just curious...what was your score?

I guessed it was 25% which is higher than 15% so your rage is seemingly misplaced.

*edit* I'm indifferent to what the government calls the "poverty line" but not indifferent to some of the fundamental issues facing our country, such as a growing loss of people from the middle class to lower class.
