well, he KNOWS all of us read each others blogs - we're on each others friends list. Nicholas asked him when he's moving out - even emailed him. The guy has not repied and then he posts this "I can't wait until december" thing, it's SO passive aggressive it drove me mad! I should go to HIM and talk things over? He's been ignoring us!

Deadbeat roommates SUCK. Just handle it and move on. No need to get pissy on the intarweb about it. Get in his face and demand the money. If he doesn't pay, grab him by the collar and throw him out onto the lawn.

Of course, the more civil approach would be for the people on the lease to give him 2 weeks to GTFO. If he IS on the lease, then you might need to threaten (and follow through on) legal action.

The only solution is to gather small barnyard animals (i.e. chickens, pigs) and lather them with grease and let em loose in his room.

you can't tell him to stop being passive agressive about if you're gonna do the same and post on his blog. i don't care how you handle it, just don't be a hypocrite about it.

(though i'm on your side about deadbeat roommates, collect his share and boot him if possible)

here's the full deal. Only one guy, nicholas, is on the lease. He speaks to dylan, dylan walks away. He speaks to him about the utilities, dylan nods yet hasn't paid in two months. I barely know nicholas but I respect him and like the guy, but I'm really not the one gettting burned here - he is. Now, I don't have to pay extra to compensate, nicholas pays what dylan doesn't.... BUT it pisses me off that the poor kid has to do that... I have no real right to toss Dylan out, but I would back nicholas up if he chose to and have words with dylan. i don't fear him at all, I'm all for having a conversation.

*BUT* the kid then posts a blog on the internet about possibly me since I do listen to music up until 10 something (i headphone it after that).... I'm not sure if it's me but, still, don't post about it on a blog our mutual friends may read - TALK TO ME .. and be a grown up, or I defend myself... not immature, but seems fair to me.
 
Wait wait wait wait wait... you're criticizing him for posting his complains about him on his blog, but you're posting your complaints about him (not paying utilities) on Anandtech? 😉
