Most "popular" craft beers still taste like piss to me. I'd rather save on the calories than drink a Sam Adams "craft" beer.
I'm as big a beer snob as they come, but Sam Adams does have some good beers, particularly their seasonals.

I challenge thee to a snob-off!!
*Dirigible throws down the gauntlet and starts lining up beers.
I personally don't like how much of the micro-brew movement went towards IPAs and hopping your brains out. I much prefer red ale or a bock over a hop attack.
I have also noticed this. I enjoy IPAs and bitter foods, coffees etc.... But it just got ridiculous as it quickly became a contest as to who could hop their beers more. No more flavor balance, just hops on tops of hops. I still like IPAs, just ones that are more balanced and not a hop explosion.
I blame the popularity of Blue Moon.

King Cobra is NOT a beer. It is a malt beverage. Malt beverages are NOT beers!I only drink craft beer, pumpkin beers, and King Cobra. Mostly King Cobra
That's when I pull out the anchovie paste....When I go someplace and they only have bud, coors, etc on tap I just end up not drinking. Even if they have something okay in a bottle I usually skip is as I can get bottles myself for 1/3rd the cost. If I'm out I want draft beer. However most people I know who are beer drinkers enjoy the craft brews I introduce them too even if they won't buy it for themselves.
Wow. I can't fathom what you drink, then. Let me guess, either all wild's or extremely hoppy beer?
I don't get how anyone can shit on Sam Adams - they're almost single-handedly responsible for keeping the craft beer industry afloat during the hop shortage. While Boston Lager might not be a great beer, a lot of their seasonals, imperial series, longshot's and such are great.
Ah beer snobs! About as pretentious as one can get about something nobody gives a fuck about. You're right up there with food snobs. Oh, please tell me how much better you are than me because you refuse to drink Bud Light out of some need for self worth.

If by this you mean they are trying for the exact opposite. Blue Moon is a witbier, and those are generally low on the hoppiness.

They were never "bought" - they've always been MillerCoors. You're right, you're not a beer snob - you're just ignorant. Same for anyone who shits on people who drink "lesser" beer and feel the need to put people down.
I dont care what anyone drinks but Im not going to apologize for having good taste. You want to drink bud light and make it your first choice, go ahead. Hell I'll even drink bud light if thats the only thing around and I won't put on pretentious airs if a friend of mine offers it to me in his house; I'll thankfully accept it. But if there are better beers for me to choose from, most likely bud light will be last on my list.
There is nothing wrong with that. But look at some of the responses in this thread. I mean seriously, some of these guys are going to cut off family members because they enjoy a pale lager on a hot day (which is something a lot of craft beers fail at).
I like good beer as much as any beer snob but still find a ice cold can of modelo enjoyable while i mow my lawn on a hot summer day.
