I don't know if we can call it a toxin since you have consume a lot of it to reach LD50.
water is a toxin too, everyone who drinks it dies

Considering the fact that my 26-week old premature infant was given doses of caffeine on a daily basis for the purpose of helping/developing breathing.... I would say yeah, there is no doubt in my mind that there are likely benefits to caffeine if anything... Saying anything negative about caffeine as far as medicinal is just stupid as fuck.
Didn't know that caffeine could be used for medicinal purposes other then keeping folks awake when they need to be.Considering the fact that my 26-week old premature infant was given doses of caffeine on a daily basis for the purpose of helping/developing breathing.... That joke is old, been around since the late 90's and it's probably older than that.Because decaf is for quitters and they don't serve quitters

So what is up with with recent news reports on people who have died from consuming large amounts of caffeine over a long period of time? Granted they probably had poor eating habits and most likely some health issues that were a factor in this, but how much caffeine do you have to consume to die from it? I know it really high.
Every so often I hear or read about someone who dies from caffeine overdose either by using too many pills or over consuming energy drinks.Could be a number of factors. First, caffeine makes me piss... like... insanely... like every 30 minutes. You gotta keep up fluid intake if you're going to be consuming caffeine all day.
But I have yet to see much for reports on this, so maybe you know more than me.
Just like any drug though, you will naturally grow tolerance - so you will have to consume more to gain the same effects. That's why I find it best to reset your tolerance every so often.
I used to chew caffeinated gum back when I was working, do they still sell that anywhere?
Heh... I like how Canadians are on a first name basis with their favorite coffee chain
Yeah, I get it... I tried Tim Horton's coffee the last time I went to Canada and it's pretty damn good.
Yeah, there is better coffee at gourmet places etc, but the biggest thing with Tim Horton's is they are everywhere. So it's convenient.
Supposedly we're getting a Starbucks here. I think it will have it's place and be kinda niche, but Tim's is still going to win over all I think due to number of locations. If Mcdonald's was smart they would actually do like Tim's with their McCafe brand, open up small McCafe shops everywhere throughout town. They would serve basically coffee and muffins and stuff of that nature. No burgers or other main food items. I think it would actually work. I imagine they have looked into it already though, I doubt I'm the first to have that idea.
It would probably work better if they dropped the McCafe brand. The McDonalds name seems to have a negative connotation with urban hipsters who are willing to drop $5 on a fancy coffee.
