I'm so incredibly pissed, I feel like taking a bat to my computer.

Since the day I built the damn thing (cost me over 1k) I've been having countless problems with it. Dozens of blue screens, the INABILITY to conduct an IE page for more than five minutes (.dll errors) and completely random fvcking program crashes.

THe worst part about it? After hours of searching, it seems that no one else is having the problems I'm having. I've already switched out the RAM, PSU, and vidcard.

This is driving me insane.

You have bad RAM.

That's what I'd thought, too! I bought a stick of PNY at BB, but the EXACT same problems continued.

Too big to be a coincidence.

And Zim, I don't, but these problems have been occurring since the first startup of this system. Literally, day one I start it up, go to google, go to a second page, and get an error.

So you're only seeing errors in IE Chraticn?

Nope, I've gotten them in mozilla as well. Sorry the response took so long, the page crashed 3 times.

I know how you feel dude. It's depressing, ain't it?

Sounds like yours is easy, though. Reinstall Windows.

I have tried to reinstall windows, and it errored 4 times (once during repair install, thrice during regular install). I just don't know what it is! It's frusterating me to no end! I literally saved for a year for this computer.

First of all, if you spent over $1000 you better have at least 500 gigs worth of storage and a damn good video card. If not, then you've gone about it aaaaall wrong.

Sounds like a bad XP install if you ask me. I'd reformat and reinstall it.

Pick one: Motherboard, CPU, heatsink installation (You DID remove the plastic and you DID use either a thermal pad OR grease, not both, right?)

Check your temps.

I've seen this kind of situation about 9 billion times; I'm the lord of flakeyass motherboards. It's never been anything else, always the damn board.

first thing i would guess is that your mobo isn't liking the ram or powersupply
second thing i would guess would be overheatage/improper cooling/hsf installation

Also, specs on PSU? if it isn't Antec, Sparkle, Enermax, or Fortron, go get one of those. That's the one piece you NEVER, EVER, EVER compromise on.

Wow, I built a smokin computer for around 400$ US and it was my first newb build and I've never had a moments trouble from it. . . over a year now.

Of course I took everyone's advice, proceeded slowly, chose only top quality parts, excercised proper static care, etc.

do you have a local mom and pop PC shop that might charge you something reasonable (like $50 bucks) to fix it?

WTF kind of cop-out is that? This is fixable, it just takes time and patience. My first half-dozen or so builds went JUST LIKE HIS. I guess I got conditioned to it.
