EA has released a lot of fixes and modifications without forcing you to buy an expansion pack. They do have a lot of problems, but most can be solved by upgrading your computer hardware and making sure your OS isn't buggy with spyware/viruses.

If you don't like it, stop PC gaming and get a console. You'll always have compatible hardware and won't have to worry about the OS tuning.

Are you overclocking anything? If any of your components are OC'd I would suggest putting them at stock clock and trying again.

It's really easier for me to just not buy EA products. Its not like they have anything that great anyway. I just find it amusing so many people were willing to buy a game that clearly wasn't finished. And that after all the whining, so many were willing to buy its expansion pack still. It seems clear EA doesn't really need to do anything but stick "battlefield" on the box and it will sell well. Good for them I guess. Also good for DRAM makers.
