And that fact that Android's Vagina bragged about his thievery in other threads, has poor trading practices and other questionable, umm, "methods" for obtaining cash, doesn't bother you?

I don't make judgment calls like that. It has nothing to do whether he is a good, fine upstanding citizen. It's the fact that everyone else was acting like a bunch of pricks. People change and I'm willing to accept that possibility, so I give people the benefit of the doubt.

and you need to learn how to read threads, because the OP is quoted more than once...

it's a 9 page thread (now 11 pages), i finally found the OP like 6 pages in. excuse me for not having psychic powers to automatically guide me. no reason to be a bitch about it.

so you won't judge a person with a bad track record who put himself in a bad situation by being shady, but you'll judge the people who pointed out how shady and ridiculous the OP is? what about giving the benefit of the doubt the people in the thread who aren't drug abusing thieves and habitual liars?

How do I know who is a drug abusing thief or a habitual liar? The op's description sounds like something I would do, and I'm clean as a whistle.

I remember one thing that I would steal all the time were shits from school...mainly the nice graphing calculators and the Fluke multimeter's they had...real nice shit, was selling each at like $75 all day...I guess they never caught on or didnt care one because they never protected them or locked them up...they just kept buying more...hmmm...

Besides that Ive stolen a bunch of shit...dont really feel guilty for any of it as its always been shit from multi-billion dollar stores and shit like Walmart and what not.

Ive never stolen anything from people personally...like friends and what not...cause karma is a bitch but karma dont care about Walmart thats basically stealing from you anyways with MASSIVE ass mark ups and shit...

Well, I did steal a iPhone 3GS 16GB from a friends friend at a party once...does that count???
or

I SMOKE WEED YOU DAFT PRICK!

First post... he admits to theft... Second post.. he admits to using illegal drugs (pot supporters aside.. it is still an ILLEGAL DRUG).

Still can't figure out who the drug abusing theif is??

You are still redirecting the fact that you are the one being a prick, not him. He had a reasonable question which everyone responded to with unreasonable hostility.

he was actually responding to this

How do I know who is a drug abusing thief or a habitual liar? The op's description sounds like something I would do, and I'm clean as a whistle.

so he answers your question, and then you say he's redirecting facts.

reasonable question???

bull fucking shit.

he had a made up question.

we responded with the fact he admitted to stealing, and the fact that he was caught and charged with THEFT only pointed out his lie.

If pointing out a liar, a druggie and an ADMITTED THIEF .. and this prevents anyone on this board from doing "deals" for possible stolen good in the FS/FT forum... and that in your mind makes me a prick... then i dont give a fuck what you think... because you're probably as guilty as the OP since you're defending him hard... despite the fact you claim to be "clean as a whistle"

If you can describe a way an admitted theif who never has any money... had no job... and can't afford $150 bail... suddenly and legitimately comes into $2000 worth of new, mostly unopened Blu Ray DVD's.... then MAYBE you might convince me we were being harsh.

If you cannot... you're the prick.

Actually he didn't answer my rhetorical question at all, he completely ignored my point. So I brought it back to the point I've been making the whole time.

Welcome to ATOT!

Seriously, though, why assume that he has a right to a "serious" or "non-hostile" answer when Android Vegetable has already provided ample proof in previous posts that he deserves neither?

You responded with nonsense and still do. Everyone he stated was reasonable and his choices that he made in the given situation don't sound out of the ordinary at all. Furthermore he made an accurate point that there was no reason he should have been charged at all. He found an item with no obvious owner in a public place. That is not theft. He said he was planning on turning it in to people that obviously could find the owner pretty easily. There is nothing questionable here at all, but you insist on questioning it because you are a judgmental prick.

So as I stated initially, the edited original post is actually more relevant than the original post.

Because I believe everyone has the right to be taken seriously regardless of their past. I can accept that no matter what, someone can change. No matter what, someone can say something that is wise regardless of how many previous foolish statements they have made.

He came here, however naively, expecting a serious response. If any one of us had been in his shoes, we would have hoped for the same. It's disrespectful to simply push him off without regard just because of previous posts.

I have no doubt that he has probably even insulted me once or twice in the past, but like any other insult I have ever gotten I have forgave and forgotten. I am responsible for my actions, not his. You only get judged for what you have done, not what he has.

i fixed that for ya... since you don't want to focus on the truth.

So, basically, what you're saying is that we should evaluate situations like the OP's in a vacuum?

If any one of us had been in his shoes, we would have hoped for the same.

Then lets get this straight...

IF ANYONE ELSE came on this board.. made dozens of posts going "I STEAL FROM WALMART AND I'M PROUD OF IT" ... then made a post going "WTF? cops arrested me for theft at walmart and i didn't do anything"

they'd get the BULLSHIT response too.

Don't make androidvagina into an angel and saint.. because he's not.

We've both been here "officially" for 6 years. If you had been in AV's shoes, would you really expect anything different than what he got? Would you have been foollish enough to post about it in the 1st place?

For me, the answer to both questions is "no".

Edit: another item worth pointing out is that his "past" isn't all that past... 2 months ago. And he feels no remorse. We're not talking Jean Valjean here...

Makes perfect sense now. Malak ignores overwhelming evidence of evolution. Malak ignores overwhelming evidence that AV is someone not trustworthy. Malak obviously has a problem with logic. Perhaps a brain injury as a young child? Riding a bike without a helmet?
