Lol that's asinine. I pity you.
Cool. Can I buy a sandwich with that?

What, exactly, did you do to deserve to be happy?

myth?
Most poor don't think like this?
You need to get out of your suburb more often, lots of Americans think they should be entitled to all kinds of stuff for not doing much or anything at all.

Apparently some people on welfare do feel the DESERVE the nicer things in life.

Man steals BMW he tried to buy with food stamp card, investigators say

You forgot to mention this insanely rich white guy named Bernard Madoff that stole from homeless people among others because he felt he deserved. Way to cherry pick. Point is, there's always some people of every class, race and religion that do awful things. You guys try to generalize and categorize way too much as if only poor, welfare people think they "deserve"...like the middle/rich class folks don't too? What fucking BS. You don't think middle class, wealthy or even famous people ever steal? Hell even Winona Ryder stole a dress.
There are way, way too many variables to account for all the problems of society and they will not be solved by blaming and pointing fingers...which "some" here love to do because it's lazy and easy to do when you are not currently one of them.

Theft, drug abuse, wife/child beatings, murder, non child support paying mofo's are all around all of us and have nothing to do with being poor or on welfare. Welfare does not force anything but it does lower the number of starving children.

Really what it boils down to is that people can be shitty, stupid, and all sorts of things we associate with undesirable behavior.

What it boils down to is that Righties are scared shitless of becoming poor. Defining poverty as a result of moral inadequacy helps them convince themselves that it can't happen to them because they're better than poor people.

They haven't figured out that corporate America just has a lot of really shitty job slots, quite by design. So long as the immorality of that favors them they'll continue to worship at the altar of the Job Creators.

Americans, are rightfully concerned about the erosion of freedoms they face. Government, Lawyers and Insurance companies are making jobs more expensive than ever.

All we want to do is have a job. Feed our family, and maybe take a vacation every 10 years.

Bitch!

The poor have no power no matter how many handouts they vote for themselves, they are still handouts. The guidelines will always change and you'll always have to be jumping through hoops, paper work, meeting criteria and so on to get your free shit.

Some people like actually owning their things. Property rights man. The economy is bifurcating between a renter class with no assets, and people who actually exercise their property rights and give a damn about the stuff they own.

By all means you can live in a Federally subsidized low income apartment, make less than $24k per year and qualify for an ACA subsidy and probably SNAP so long as you never save more than $2,000 or so (Like how the $%&# do you ever get out of that situation if you can't save right?) it likely highly motivates people to sell drugs and work under the table so they don't get kicked out of their apartment and get whatever cash income they can get.

You apply for jobs saying "It needs to pay at least $11.50 or less an hour"

Or become the quintessential inner city kid. Killing people because they are bored.

People aren't made to be pandered to by Government.

They are made to be challenged by Government, fight Government.

They are made to be unique individuals, with all the rights and powers that each free American has.
