This morning on the news, they had a story about Obama saying how he's ticked about the bonuses at AIG, and it had a tagline on the bottom of the screen "Not So Fast"

I was picturing it as an Achievement Banner in WoW and started giggling (Kind of like this)

My wife didn't get it.

Achievements in any games are stupid.

It's one thing to reward players for the game playing but just to get a bunch of stupid badges / achievements that have no benefit makes lazy game programmers.

Quite a few achievements have rewards such as titles or mounts. They could JUST have those achievements only, but if you're going to add enough for that, why not add a metric fuckton just to give players something to do?

Nice to hear they actually give stuff for some.

Been to long since I stopped WoW since they never had them then.

It's just most games they are pointless that I have more fun playing this game then actually trying to get them for real.

If videogames had achievements ala Xbox 360 when I was growing up, I may have never left the house... Thank god they didn't!

If you wanted to play wrath of lich king, do you have to buy the previous two versions first?

The only way you can get Salty is if you have a bunch of asshole friends on mammoths blocking tasty fish pools for you. Or, you done it in classic.

Have to? I don't think you have to, but might make it hard to level since you cant go every where that have quests. Plus you would skip alot of content. I hope I am right cause I dont play WoW since 2007 after selling my account.

You can get the classic + TBC combo for $30. And sometimes they have WLK onsale for $30, so that's $60 + tax or whatever.

Ps. Just checked amazon.com prices, it's more like $70.

Is this a deal of you need to buy the others to get the install to work? Like you cant install the Lich King right on top of the 1st?

You need Classic before you can install TBC, and TBC before you can install WLK. You can't skip.
