Update: Today was like an initiation day, where I finally saw all the properties that will be my responsibilty (7 buildings), and met the supers who will work under me. To tell you the truth it was a bit overwhelming. But I'm pumped to breath fresh air during business hours! 🙂
I used to have a girlfriend who was in property management and the only thing I can say is, good luck with all that. Oh, and have a , you'll need it.

I don't plan on doing management long term. I plan on doing it for a few years because it is the best way to learn the business, and then I plan on investing in my own properties.

Good luck TP, you will be fine, and if you don't like it you can always fall back on computers. I'm in the same boat, taking med classes part time with the company paying for it. I'll apply to Phys Therapy Masters program in roughly a year and finally do what I wanna do instead of programming all day. But the bad news is that the Bosox/Yanks series was so captivating that I didn't do as well as I should have on the last lab exam (argh!). But it's all good

BTW, how old r u? Don't you have a little one too?

Wow, this has to be one of the worst cases of "I can't fuc[/b]king read the damn thread"-itis.

Congratulations ThePresence! Oh yeah... fresh air? What's that?

No man, I'm 27 and single! No little kiddies or anything, so I figured now would be a good time for a career change.

Nothing specific happened. I'm bone-tired and completely wiped out from dealing with idiots all day.

ROFL, a familiar complaint I heard frequently from my former girlfriend. Still, it's a step in the right direction since you say you don't plan on staying in property management too long; plus it's good experience for dealing with all sorts of situations related to properties.
