Shens?

If serious, why? You could just move to Montreal for a simulated experience, ya know :p

agreed, just move to quebec and you can put up with the same crap for far cheaper. ANd then when you cant put up with it anymore come over the parts of canada that dont suck or head back to the states.

where was that list the guy had that said that not showering was a good thing and so is pooping onto a shelf? basically a big anti america rant showing the supposed superiority of europe by saying how the crappy things there aren't actually crappy, but it was complete bs?

i highly suggest you use pimsleur french cd's.. those are really good cd's .. i'm using them right now to learn french and they are awesome.. its like an interactive listen and repeat type thing. high quality. for the french 1,2, and 3 set its about 1,000 bucks.. but you can check them out at your local library i'm sure.. they have them at mine. and if they dont have them there, there are other places you can get them...

I think France would be a cool place to live for a while to see how it is. I'd love it if my job sent me there for a bit.

I've been to Paris several times, my sister have lived there for a year and is married to a frenchman, and will probably move to Paris next year.

One book that's highly recommended by her (and me) is: A year in the merde

It's quite funny and will give a basic understanding of these crazy french.

if you're gonna be in paris, you are going to need a new wardrobe. dress like the typical American and you'll look like a hobo relative to well-dressed Parisians :)
