Thats Skoorb, he smokes crack.

no physical abuse from drill instructors? hahaha... the first time you dont put your face in the dirt on the way down to a pushup his size 12 boot is going right on the back of your head which is then goin into the mud... have fun!

what is your MOS?

You will hate Paris Island the first weeks of your stay but after its all said and done you will come away with an uncomparable experience and a feeling of brotherhoodthat only the Marines could provide. -Semper Fi

Good luck

If hes from socal he does not go to PISC he goes to Hollywood training. You best bet is to listen to everything and learn to work as a team in your platoon, there is no more I and me. Good luck 5954 89-96

Hey, congratulations and good luck! I always thought it would be awesome to be one of the marines stationed at an embassy overseas. I understand those postings are highly sought after.

Oohrah, don't stick out, never volunteer... and always remember it's just the D.I.'s job, nothing personal... You'll see at graduation when they instantly turn from threatening to kill you, to 'Have a great life, Marine!'

Hey, congrats!

I'm trying to joing the Air Force. Don't freak out when you get there, and remember that everyone feels the same way that you do.

Remember, when you get out, you will be one of *the* most hardcore, bad to the bone, toughest soldiers in the world. US Marines are the most feared force in the world.

Good luck!

Here's a link for you about USMC boot camp

dam that link had some other links to stuff "your recruiter didnt tell you" preety disapointing see how crappy the healthcare is for marines

That means you're going to have a Starlight scope on your M-16.

Good luck and take care of yourself (especially your feet)!

This is an important and selfless undertaking.

Don't forget to come back to the forums to tell us how it went!

god dam!there was a complication clearing a unliscensed driver ticket i got and now they are delaying my ship date for another week or so!!!god i feel so terrible now my friend who was supposed to leave the same day as me got shipped out alone.

Im freaking out I have no clue what to do my last few days!
Get used to being woke up by the sound of "Drop your cocks and grab your socks, Ladies!" You know, drill sargeant movie quotes and stuff. haha

did my time, USMC 1994-1999

good luck to you, and remember, you'll be affected more mentally than physically (although some days when you're face is in the dirt and you're doing pushups in your own pool of sweat you might not think that)

sorry, didn't mean to scare but it's better if you know what to expect. and like Frazzled said, take good care of your feet! Your feet will be doing the most work on those humps.

Semper Fi, future devil dog.

You don't need to start running and exercising before being inducted. That's what boot camp is for.

LOL, yah. Not.

dude, you're about to be re-programmed. you won't laugh again for 4 months.
