This is one of those rare (for me) threads where as soon as I saw the title I knew who the author was. :)

Someday there are going to be "before and after" photos of a Monel firepower demo... and they will be satellite photos.

What exactly do you need to shoot that would require so much firepower?

Bahahaha...looks like fun; biggest thing I've ever shot with is a 12 gauge shotgun :p (also used a .22 rifle in boy scouts...probably a pea shooter to you though;))

monel you would love my cousin's .50mm. :D

all they use it for on our ranch is to kill deer and the like though. Standard .22 rifles do the job for most critters down there, and when a .22 doesnt finish off a kill then they jump off the pickup, pick it up and drop kick it! :Q

I sure hope you mean .50 caliber.

Because if not you either mean .5 mm, which is teeny tiny, or 50mm which is overkill.
50 caliber is of course, .50 inches which is about 12.5mm :)

I love you Americans. The right to keep and bear light artillery. :)

Of course, that IS envy speaking :)

That sort of thing would get a guy put in jail up here in Canada. It must be a hell of a lot of fun!

Thats a nice little toy you got there Monel. Which part of Penn state do you live in? And how much is the ammo for the M-203 per round?

The 203 is a fun little addon to an already excellent rifle. I didn't fire the 203 very often but when I did it was a blast. (no pun intended)

And like Warin said, are you sure about that measurement? .50mm doesn't exist, and 50mm would mean those guys are shooting off mortar rounds. It would take out the deer, that's for sure. And anything else nearby

I'm sorry guys, but I feel no envy or desire viewing this post. After twenty years of service in multiple theaters of operation I find this to be nothing more than childish wish desire. Its easy to spend thousands of dollars buying hardware to blow away trees and dirt. If you have to use that against real living people however its another story altogether.

I must admit that I'm impressed you spent so much money trying to emulate real combat hardened soldiers. I'd be more impressed if you acyually were one though.
