So my work finally blocked ATOT...

No more neffing on the forums....no more posting nude pics....no more running away from the mods in a slapstick-like demeanor....no more hitting on all the hot computer chicks on the forum....no more being the popular one here.

My work does too, I just type in the ip and I can access. For some reason though, I cant make the browser save cookies, so I have to browse without being logged in.

i don't know....this forum is not that popular.... And our IT dept is a bunch of dumbasses.

And i can't surf by IP because our proxy blocked by common content in the forums. If i can find a version of the forums that doesn't have the title or something, I dunno.

i really don't like the job...so maybe I'll take OIKOS's suggestion. I was looking for local anonymizer PHP scripts. That's like a browser within a browser. I can access the script at my own site and browse whatever the hell I want without proxy problems.

Actually, I think one of the employee's help them out. They couldn't configure a hub to save their lives.
 
They blocked ATOT at my work I asked the admin to remove the block for me he said no problem, so I only missed out on a few hours.😀
 
Remote Desktop ports are blocked. And besides, my computers have 2000 and won't allow me to install any software. Plus i can't bring software onsite, everything goes through metal detectors. I can't bring my own PDA or laptop to use the onsite wireless and I can't tactically apprehend a computer and "hide" it on the network for personal use.

I've got a request pending with the IT admin to remove the block but I doubt they'd be so generous. Besides, I still have my own forums. It's not a complete loss.... (until they find those forums too)

THe surprising this is many times those will be granted because very few people ask, the ones that ask are the only ones that would really care, the rest find some other site.
 
Heh.. the IT people at my work are very cool... I asked if I could have an extra machine to install linux on, and they had it in my cube within an hour...

Of course, the downside is that I now have to learn how to set up an LDAP server on it just so I can authenticate an SSL VPN connection against it, but that's beside the point.
