Wow I have a stalker.

Yes, you and some others have and often continue to act like a bunch of 12 year olds <on the forums.>

Who knows what you do in real life

yea that seems to be the Fox News/right wing response to everything wrong with this country. it's all the liberals' fault. well guess what, you control the House, Senate, and the presidency. you can do whatever you want with your majority, liberals aren't holding you back at all.

Half the problem is liberals in the Republican party.

Aye, and maybe one day Republicans will elect a conservative as president, like they did back in the 70s.

I, like the OP, am also very glad for Fox News. It gives the American public an open window into the minds of the neoconservatives in this country. Either you see right through them or you flock to them. That is America, choices. However, anyone who claims that any other major news outlet is just as biased to the left as Fox is to the right is delusional IMO. As Steeplerot stated, their teleprompter is hard wired into Roves fax machine. Nothing short of 24/7 propaganda. But I will defend their right to do whatever they wish, even if I don't agree with their methods or the right wing echo chamber that they belong to. IMO, all the major news outlets combined are not half as biased Fox News.

I disagree, there is plenty of media including CNN that rivals the bias. Perhaps you see less because you agree more with what's being said

It's funny to me how most of the left absolutely refuses to admit that the establishment media has a liberal bent

LMAO, CNN is more biased than Fox News? Fox News wrote the book on bias. Certain reporters on CNN may show a bias every now and then, but nothing like Fox News does:

Fox News Spin clip:
Troop Deaths

They are 24/7 propaganda, just as umbrella39 mentioned. The only person decent on Fox News is maybe Greta Van Susteren, since she isn't some blowhard conservative trying to be "fair and balanced".

I've been watching a lot of news lately, and CNN and to some extent, MSNBC (Olberman, Mathews) are just as liberal as Fox news hosts O'Reilly and John Gibson are conservative

The news on CNN, particularly the hourly updates have just as much of a liberal slant as anything on FOX is conservative.

On CNN the other night, a reporter was doing one of those "And now we go to Jane Foley in Washington with the story" narratives, and she said sarcastically and with amazing unprofessionalism:

"And so the President says, how should I put this, that he'll be getting back to the "peoples" business."

My dad who is a moderate was watching and we both looked at each other like WTF was that... she said it with extreme sarcasm and I was amazed to hear that.

Anyway I am very glad that Fox news exists to provide a counterbalance to the liberal media stations, because they really are overt, especially lately. I wouldn't want a world w/o CNN, but most liberals probably would prefer a world without FOX... but for those who want varying opinions being expressed and different options to glean info from, it's better with both.

Fox also has the best punditry by far IMO. Mort Kondracke, Bill Kristol (OMG! NEOCON!), the lady from NPR, Charles Krauthammer, Alan Colmes (a mature liberal)

IM IN OZ AND FOX IS THE MOST BIAS NEWS AROUND worse than al jazier or whatever it is, fox is so lame its not worth watching , fox give you Americans a BAD reputation, your ABC jim leyher is better ! l would watch an Arab news station before watching fox just for the sake of the TRUTH and a channel thats not up the govenments arse .....fox is....part of bushes left nut..... CHOP IT OFF, CHOP IT OFF !!!

You know what would be even better than having a righty biased organization to make up for lefty biased organizations? News organizations that actually did their god damned jobs. That means going after BS from the government, no matter which party it's from. It's means trying to inform viewers, instead of scare them or grab market share with intentionally slanted reporting.

A good book worth reading is "Bad News". It talks about all the ways modern "news" organizations are falling down on the job, and it takes a bat to all them equally. Whether it's the soft and fluffy filler reporting CNN seems to be so fond of, or the total lack of journalism ethics from a place like Fox News, the basic idea is that good news is a very vital part of our country, and the people that currently have the job aren't up to the task.

this is the best post of the thread, so far. i find it funny that people in here are more intrested in bashing fox news, despite how crappy of a news channel it happens to be, than trying to find a truly "fair and balanced" news source. i'll check out that book as well.

it is nice after all these years to have something to try and balance the bias of mainstream media.

I also like to watch CBN news , BBC news , and ocasionally read a few foreign , english speaking newspapers,
just to get away from the american spin and see how the rest of the world is seeing it.

One or two brought up the point of trying to go beyond countering the other sides spin, thats a nice dream, but it seems like the only way to view info intelligently these days is watch all sides and then apply a liberal (ow, it was tough using that word positively😉)dose of intelligence to sort it out.

It is? I wouldn't go that far, I just said that it was biased.

Fox News is for the mentally impaired.

You don't mean that

Fox & Friends sure is. (Scroll through the page, there are several examples)

There is a clip out there where Hannity calls someone who is reported in the news as growing pot on his property a liberal by "accident". I can't find it though. Oreilly, Hannity, Cavuto, Gibson, Kilmead or whatever his name is, are all pompous a$$es. I don't like Janine Garofolo, but I loved how she owned Kilmead awhile back.

You must be joking.

In order to make a point about fairness and lack of spin, you post a link to two websites that search only for percieved "right wing" spin and say nothing about "left wing" spin?

Ridiculous. And I never claimed Fox had no bias anyway, but to post what you did is just funny.

A left wing website that complains about spin in the media but only if its what they consider "right wing" spin.
