I'm getting old(er). Are Levi's Jeans 'dead'?

walmart, generic brand blue jeans, dont look like they have been thru the washer 1000X to many times either, $7.50, no reason for me to buy name brand bluejeans
 
I recently bought my last pair of levis. I've worn them since high school (about 10 years now), but for the last few years, they fall apart after a few months! WTF, the back pockets tear and the crotch falls out. Pisses me off. I'm looking for another brand to switch to, anyone have any recommendations?

I could of sworn the last time I went in JCPenny's they were $40+ eh, I never pay that much for them always find them on clearance 😀
 
Jeans are always so expensive. I have a lot of cargos because those always seem to be on sale. The jeans that end up going on sale are like those massive MC hammer style jeans that only idiots would wear

i still wear button fly Levi 501 shrink to fit jeans just like in high school (early 80's)

i went to my 20 year high school reunion in july and wore them, the only difference was they were 40 waist instead of 33 :roll:
 
I don't think I've worn Levi's since I was in grade 10. I guess that was in 1996. Styles changed and I mostly wear Kahki type stuff now.
 
I used to wear them, now I wear Member's Mark: twice as thick, 1/3 the price.

The quality of clothing has went down too much to pay alot for them.
