Rossman, I believe that you CAN find out which screen that they are going to be putting on your laptop. The link that I posted for Gobadgrs from notebookforums should tell how to do that. I think once you put your order in from Dell that they assign you a service tag. Wait a couple of days until everything is finalized and they start working on it and then go and look up your service tag and I believe it shows every part of the laptop, including display. I've been looking at laptops but haven't bought one so far. This info comes from Dell-sakor1 on the notebookforums. I lurk there quite a bit. :D

Sorry Gobadgrs! I was under the impression that the service tag and stuff would list everything that you were getting. My bad! You might check out the rest of that link that I sent you and see if you can come up with any other way to ID it. Another possibility would be to register at notebookforums and ask how to find out which display. Tell them that you tried the way that Dell-sakor1 mentioned but you couldn't get it to work. Someone is SURE to try to help you. They seem to be very helpful. Good luck and again..I'm sorry about that!

*Edit* I think it might take a couple of days for them to post your service tag. You might try again tomorrow and see if you can get the info that you need.

Where will the service tag # actually show up in a couple of days?
I need for them to actually send me the product and then I can check my setting in the registry. Right now I'm trying to decide on what color kit to get for my laptop. Any recommendations?

Ok....the service tag will show up on their website in a couple of days...I think. Then you go to the support page. Click on Home/Home Office. Then click on Select System. That should bring up another page where you can put in the service tag number. *Hopefully* after doing that, it'll show you the stats on your laptop. If you want, you can send me a PM and I'll try to help you with it. :)
