No, I don't think most people would be keen with this, but at least it wouldn't put pressure on the eco-system. Besides, if the sharks were commercially raised, companies would NEVER throw away the rest. They would take the carcas and at the very least grind it up for cat food or hot dogs. The only reason it isn't done in commercial fishing is that hauling a dead fish to shore in a boat costs money, and it may be economically more viable to simply leave the carcas at sea.
I'm all for the humane treatment of animals, but killing something is killing something. Lets not kid ourselves here.

I just LMAO at all the people screaming, "The poor fishies!! You're hurting them!!" If they only knew how most mainstream livestock suffer on a daily basis until they get their heads lopped off...................
