Ausm has an excellent idea. They also could care less if you're doing x, coke and other stuff as long as you aren't stoned at work.
I'm pretty sure it's mandatory that you smoke dope if you want to be a Carpenter.

Would I need an associates from a community college first, or would they just take me in as is even though I don't know anything about carpentry or wiring?

Dude as long as you graduated high school you are qualified. If you are in a trade they are monitored by unions so your employer can't f you over.

In other words, you will get a substantial raise every 6 months and also make sure you take plenty of no dose to school.

They don't expect you to know much in the beginning it is on the job training and where you live if you choose Carpentry you can work all year.

I apprenticed as a Moldmaker(But I am a System Admin now:) so if you got questions feel free to ask.

Edit-Why is it in your medical records?

It says he visited a psychologist. Probabaly reported by them, or the reason he had to visit one.

Um.. I thought that was all confidential? Isn't there some kind of doctor patient priviledge here ? I thought as long as it wasn't a crime that stll needed to be prosecuted or information that could lead to a crime, the doctor can't reveal anything?

My life has really gone down the sh!tter in the last 2 months or so.. :(

why dont you stop being such a stupid asshole and maybe your life will get better.

Why are you so rough on the guy? He admitted he has done wrong in the past and is trying to get himself together again. All you're doing is knocking him right back down. Why?

Fair? The AF has the right to require anything they want barring discrimination based on that huge list of crap. If you've done drugs and they don't want people who have a history of drug abuse in the AF, it's their right to refuse entry. Just because some guy got into the AF 30 years ago and did drugs at another point in his life hardly makes this unjust or unfair.

Now he's their commander in chief. So you can't be a member of the armed forces if you did drugs, but you can run them.

I'm not saying that they should kick him out; I'm making the point that it's the AF's right to refuse entry to people for reasons beyond that whole race, sex, blah blah blah thing. UglyCasanova might be completely clean and have been clean for decades or something. If I were the recruiter or had power over this situation, I'd want proof that he's clean for a certain period of time (years++) before I approve his entry, but I certainly wouldn't automatically shoot him down just because of drug abuse in the past.

Well, that's what happens when you use drugs. I'm glad to see the Air Force stick to their standards.

Since you're trying to reform--good luck in the private sector.

But there is a bit of irony in there isn't there?

For the sake of argument, I do see the irony; however, the rules for entry into the Whitehouse don't include a clean drug history.
